The RPM bellcranks makes a huge difference in steering response.

Yesterday, I put in about 8 hours of driving for another interest I have, so today I wasn't really interested in any driving, but late this morning this popped on on FBMP a couple of hours away, and I couldn't help myself!! :D I have been trying to organize my garage recently, and in the process have been selling off unused stuff, so have had some cash burning a hole in my pocket for a Christmas gift for myself all week. This really isn't in my wheel house, but it scores high on the fun factor!

Good to know.
Forgot to get the RPM rear axle hubs, so ordered those today. Also noticed today that the RPM rear hubs and front spindles use larger 5x11x4mm bearings, so put those on order as well. Luckily I already have RPM ball cups and correct length turnbuckles to swap out them super flexible plastic units.

I've never ordered a cheap generic Amazon motor and ESC before, this will be the first and last time I do. I'm sure it's worth the $46 shipped cost, but I could've gotten Hobbywing brushless ESC and motor for $78 shipped. Tested the boy's previous Hobbywing 1060 esc & Dynamite 20T brushed vs the cheap GoolRC 60A esc & 3500kV brushless. The "so-called" 3500kV motor barely breaks 3300kV, no surprise really. He'll get an increase of roughly 7mph (up from 20mph), he was assuming it was going to go 40mph  So I'll probably swap the 18T pinion for a 20 or 21 so he can legitimately claim 30mph... lol

Be careful with the shoulder screws on the steering carriers, they strip very easily. Maybe add a little CA as well.

If they become a problem, Hot Racing has some aluminum ones that fixes that.

I was wondering about that. Seen these AE Element ones that look a little better https://www.amainhobbies.com/element-rc-enduro-3x10mm-shoulder-screws-6-asc42070/p977597?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4L67BhDUARIsADWrl7HpszkZoFmWO0tRC9KOWzDIA7QABGgOaatyzkKPfaRv9H8nmrUa29MaAmusEALw_wcB

I'm not finding any of the Hot Racing units. Any idea?

Hot Racing ECT2106 Aluminum Steering Blocks (blue) - ECX 2WD https://a.co/d/bNzgr7c

This is what I used on my Torment. It has survived all kinds of crashes, tumbles, and flips. I didn't use the aluminum caster blocks, only the steering blocks.

Not exactly RC related but....

With severe storms in the forecast Saturday evening, I ventured out in the rain to retract the awning on the RV and , of course, it wouldn't work; just clicks, lights dim but no movement.
Today, I was able to verify that the motor is dead, located the manufacturer's info label, researched online, found and ordered a replacement motor and it should arrive in 10 days.
Anyway, the awning is manufactured by Dometic Corp and this specific model is called an "ae Power Patio Awning"

I couldn't help noticing the interesting choice for their registered logo.

That "ae" logo appears on the switch panel as well.

Anyway, it's just a coincidence but I've found it slightly amusing. :D

Today I created an anti roll bar mount to use the rear anti roll bar on the front of the Yokomo dogfighter 834b , no new screw holes needed but sadly it will only work with the ReRe as there's not space under the top deck/chain guide on the original.

My Wavechopper came complete except for a stand, so I printed one off based on the one in the manual.

Yes Traxxas wheels, TRX-1, 2.1 Fronts, 2.0 Rears. Did not machine, that's the factory 6-spoke (dyed black). However, I have noticed that the Traxxas dished wheels (TRX-3/TCP) have the same profile. Almost like they removed the spokes from the mould for the TRX-3, or machined the spokes into (removed material) the dishes for the TRX-1. Who knows? Nobody at Traxxas, I know that much.
