I drilled out a set of Factory Works outdrives to fit my Trackmaster. The carbide drill bit was definitely necessary.

The RPM bellcranks makes a huge difference in steering response.
Good to know.
Forgot to get the RPM rear axle hubs, so ordered those today. Also noticed today that the RPM rear hubs and front spindles use larger 5x11x4mm bearings, so put those on order as well. Luckily I already have RPM ball cups and correct length turnbuckles to swap out them super flexible plastic units.
I've never ordered a cheap generic Amazon motor and ESC before, this will be the first and last time I do. I'm sure it's worth the $46 shipped cost, but I could've gotten Hobbywing brushless ESC and motor for $78 shipped. Tested the boy's previous Hobbywing 1060 esc & Dynamite 20T brushed vs the cheap GoolRC 60A esc & 3500kV brushless. The "so-called" 3500kV motor barely breaks 3300kV, no surprise really. He'll get an increase of roughly 7mph (up from 20mph), he was assuming it was going to go 40mph

So I'll probably swap the 18T pinion for a 20 or 21 so he can legitimately claim 30mph... lol
Take that back regarding the cheap junk Amazon GoolRC 60A esc, it worked for roughly 30 seconds (with 2s Lipo) until sh!tting itself. Reverse still works, but forward is no more. Flipped the transmitter throttle from normal to reverse, and same thing but vise versa. Hobbywing Quicrun WP 10BL60 G2 on order.

Oh wow, I been running a pair of those (with the 3900kv) in my clodbuster and so far no issues except the sensorless cogging. I hope your not fighting a bad motor that took out the esc
I couldn't pass them up for the price a year ago

Well I gave it a shot, certainly not surprised according to the reviews of the specific item I purchased. Has nearly the same amount of 1 star reviews as it does 5 star, which make up 78% of all the reviews. So chances are you're either going to hit a homerun (actually get working set) or strike out, not much in-between.
How does a guy find out if the motor is bad and killing the ESC? I previously slapped the motor on my brushless motor analyzer and seemed to be okay, except it doesn't run it's advertised kV rating.

That's what I was doing with my drag motors. Really no other good way that I know of.

Was expecting (according to usps) to be installing my Dahms 8” bi level wing and Buds hardware on my runner 10L, but in true USPS fashion they never made it “out for delivery” like they were supposed to.
I did recieved my order from Warren RC for some LCRacing EMB chassis parts and was able to replace a bad front cvd and upgrad to rear cvds on little Treys LC Truggy. These little buggy’s have been awesome!

Nice little cold day build. Kyosho Outrage ST built from a 98% complete NIB kit. The PO literally opened up the box and parts bag to remove the two rear hubs so he could install them on his runner. Just happened to have a Kyosho Rx and servo in the parts bins, so came together nicely.

Finally busted out the CVDs from their package and put them on the DS
Pretty cool that the flip the laser etching so both CVDs have lettering the same way when installed.

Line-up of the Tamiya tourers I've been working on the past couple of weeks:
From left to right:
1. Tamiya TB-02 chassis, lots of upgrades, with new Frewer Nissan Skyline R34 body (painted and decal'd by me)
2. Tamiya / 3Racing TT01 carbon fibre chassis, with Tamiya (I think) Subaru WRX body, painted in PIAA scheme from the Tamiya FF01 Accord (not my work)
3. Tamiya / 3Racing TT01 carbon fibre chassis, with Tamiya Subaru BRZ body (painted and decal'd by me)... some decals to add to this one yet
4. Tamiya TA02 chassis, LOTS of period upgrades, Tamiya Supra body (not my work)
Will finish up the BRZ soon.

I cleaned up this NESC 2.
The primary issues with it were the wiring. Bypassed power switch, broken receiver negative wire at the grommet, bad receiver wire splice joints, loose/bad battery power connector, bad motor connector wiring. After wiring cleanup, a new grommet, a new switch and case cleanup, it works well.

I like the slogans that Tamiya has on the buggy spoilers. Being Nuts is Neat, Hoppin Mad, Anytime Baby, etc.

The kid doing a bit more to his ECX AMP. Has all his RPM mods installed, turnbuckles with RPM cups, Associated blue shocks with Frankentruck white collars & cups, massaged battery strap to fit 7-cell hump pack and Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL60 G2 ESC hooked-up and programmed. Once he saw the blue RC10 T4 RTR shocks, he begged me to let him use them. Now waiting for blue ano shock bushings to arrive in the mail.
The cheapo GoolRC motor now runs okay thanks to the Hobbywing ESC. Will still be swapping it out with a HW Quicrun brushless motor because it simply rubs me the wrong way to use what I consider such crap. The GoolRC ESC crapping out immediately makes me ashamed to run any of their junk now.
