My wife and I had some time today and put this IKEA glass cabinet together then found a place for it in one of the sitting rooms.
We really like it and may just have to buy another one.
I currently have some foam cut to support the cars but will have some clear acrylic blocks cut to support the cars and the Jay Halsey replica up and at angles to the front glass door.
FYI: The Halsey replica with the nose bumper will not fit straight like the other cars. So it will be up and at an angle with the top slightly facing the door.

I wish there was an Ikea closer than 4 hours away :(

Nice case. An Aussie on a model car forum once bought a case so big his girlfriend could stand up inside of it.

Report back from Curtis, regarding his car from the 1st post in this thread:

Hi Ruffy,

Wow, you did a great job on those cars. I had to look back on my shelf to see if my car was still there!

Have a great 4th of July.

Best regards,

Curtis

There was more to the email but irrelevant to the topic, so I excluded it.

Thanks Curtis!

Thanks Don and it was great to have met you at the indoor track. Nice of you to stop by and watch our mayhem.
I'm going to have to buy another one of these glass cabinets for my other cars too. I currently have the B4 buggy at the bottom. The past and present in one cabinet.

Purchased the 2nd glass cabinet for the early RC10 buggy display and a chrome steel 4 tier rack for our hobby room to organize my mess in there. I'll post pics once I have it set up and clean.
Obviously my wife will not let me post pics of a room in disarray, so you'll get to see them once I clean it up!

I'll also post up a few pics of the new B4 car next to the Early Edinger RC10 car. Should make for some nice images.

Can we continue this Box Art theme on to the later Box Art cars??

I would love to see the other replicas included here too

Ruffy, have you posted up an image of the picture that sits on top of the cabinet somewhere on here? Looks like a cool pic from this distance! 8)

I am about to scan it this weekend for the Reedy Memorial I have been invited to attend and have been asked to provide pictures of Mike that I have.
The picture is one that appeared in many magazines when Associated and Reedy Racers at a major race completely dominated the Losi and other teams by taking the top 9 positions in all three of the major racing categories back then (2WD Buggy Mod, 4WD Buggy Mod, 2WD Truck Mod). The picture appeared in countless magazines and was captioned as the "Associated/Reedy Dream Team".
Mike and I are the only ones wearing the new Team Jackets in the photo and I'm the guy standing in the middle, next to Cliff and behind Masami who is kneeling. Mike is on the left side.
Our RC cars are all out in front of the team lined up. It made for a great picture! I finished that race in 8th or 9th in the A after I broke (broken universal axle from that amazing Reedy motor and battery I had!) in the first of 3 A-Mains.
I will post a scan when I make one this weekend.
