Just had lunch, the better half's Eggplant Curry..... made with our very own home-grown eggplants!!!!!! Beautiful flavour, and a kick-ass curry bite to boot!

I have been truly uninspired lately in the kitchen. So the wife hits Pintrest and does a root beer bbq chicken in the crock pot. Was really good, surprisingly. So tonight the wife wanted kabobs...got my creative juices flowing and came up with these.
Dr Pepper/BBQ sauce mix (Sweet Baby Ray's is our BBQ choice)
Boneless dark meat chicken
Onion, Red and Yellow bell pepper, Pineapple
Whacked it with a mix of seasoned salt, garlic salt and pepper
Took the extra vegetables, added a couple cloves of minced garlic, left over BBQ sauce mixture and made a 'stir fry' rice to go with it. Tossed a little Tobasco on mine for the 'dash' that I like.

Thanks Rod...there were zero left overs, guess the kids liked 'em too.
So, having today off for President's Day...and in a cooking mood. Some pork butt was smoked for about 5 hours, made some mac n cheese on the side. There wasnt time for pics after they hit the board, a pack of locusts swooped in and attacked it...

There's a store near me that always cuts their T-Bones pretty much as Porterhouse so you get a Porterhouse at half price.

I'm shedding the 20 fun pounds I put on over the winter so I just went with a steak with mushrooms and jalapenos. Thin sliced, cooked hot and fast.

I wish I would have seen this before I ate dinner.
I had a very similar cut, onions and mushrooms on the side. I would have snapped a pic.
