First few ABS parts have printed without a hitch.
So far, so good.
I've used PEI plate, ran filament calibration, used glue and a brim. No bed or layer adhesion problems.
I did notice parts are easier to remove than with PLA on the high-tack cool plate.
Anyway, on to the next set of parts -- most of which are in the 6 hour range for print time.

I've saved the largest and most complex parts for last on this project.
This bed side required 11-1/2 hours to print -- but I think it was worth the time. With layer height set to 0.08mm, the layer lines are almost non-existent. A few passes with some 380 grit paper and they're gone. I probably could skip sanding the parts and just use filler primer but I will sand them anyway.
Anyway, I've printed about a dozen parts in ABS so far and it's a breeze on the P1S. : )
Part orientation and proper use of supports are keys to achieving acceptable prints.
What is apparent from leaks :
- dual nozzle with a mecanism to alternate them and two cutters (both head should be multimaterial capable)
- heated chamber?
- Apparently two variety of AMS (one of them is AMS HT, including a heater)
- 350x320x325
- a possible attachemnt of another tool on the tool head
- a laser module (most likely 10W diode) and possibly a mechanical emergency stop button
Seems interesting and the laser module may also exlain why they are so verse on cloud security and the change of message in the TOS as a laser working without monitoring may prove to be potential fire hazard... Anycase, I'm curious to see what it turns into...

The H2D is really interesting...
I had a look at my use cases and current limitations faced with the X1C, and it hit all the cases, and the price remain somewhat acceptable considering what it brings to the game.
I did not print a lot of multimaterial with more than 2 materials (and the max material in a print in my case is actually 3).
The Laser/Plotter/Drawer are WTF for me at the end : The Silhouette Cameo 4 is better in bed size, with more depth of cut, and I believe a dedicated laser might be better and less worrying for the inside of the printer...
The new AMS2Pro and AMS HT are also super interesting with the X1/P1 and at some point with A1 series...
Yes, the approach on the firmware and secure connection sucks, but LAN/developer mode works perfectly fine. And at the end, my printer is just a tool... I'm pretty much convinced, I just need to convince my domestic dragon

I think I get mister Bambu's master plan.
I had a discussion with my wife about the H2D...
See, my wife do craft. When I bought my Silhouette Cameo 4, the target was mainly to create vinyl mask and stiickers for RC purpose... But 4 years later, I must recognize my wife uses it much more than I do. She does a lot of things with the Silhouette. Among the last few months, she mentioned to me that she'd like a laser. I proposed her a training at the local fablab for the laser. She did it, and she knows that she can use the laser there (there is a 120W CO2 laser, a X-tool F1 Ultra and a P1 or M1), but she would still like to have one at home for light prototyping...
I showed her the H2D video. She said "Yes, Laser Edition". I thought I would have to argument more for the printer . It compares to what the X-Tool F1 lite can do. And the price of a X-Tool F1 Lite is still more than the difference between the two H2D combos...
I still have some interrogations about how the laser can mess inside the printer chamber, but I also had a look at the F1 Ultra at fablab, and it is not that messy compared to the CO2.
Anyway, there is no more possibility of ordering as the first batch is already in rupture, so I can still change mind...

An interview of Dr Tao, CEO of Bambu Lab by CNC Kitchen. Quite interesting even for the ones not interested by the H2D.
A few teasers during the interview and few informations...
- a laser products range is probable
- some details on Vision Encoder and the possible arrival of an equivalent for X1C
- H2D is for Hybrid, 2nd Gen, Dual extruder
- one AMS with two filament exit was in testing and it is not working yet, but it might be somthing they release in the future
- many complained about the print size, and some responses are given, including on the associated constraints
- some elements on the firmware topic (which is already in secure mode with the X1C newer firmware)
- ...
The video is quite long, though (about 2 hours), but it is still interesting.
I'm quite sure we will see some of the technologies applied in the H2D in possible X2, P2 and A2 series...

Finally pulled the trigger on the P1S with AMS2 Pro.
I find the AMS2 Pro to be a pain in the ass. I get a "failed to retract" or "failed to load filament" error almost every single print.
Otherwise I find the prints to be of good quality and fast!

May I suggest to check the spring in the buffer at the rear of the machine...
Other reasons for issues are
- weight of the spool >>> add weight in the center
- diameter of the spool too small >>> print adapter and add on the side of the spool (many are available on Makerworld)
- cardboard spool >>> add tape (the type you use for electricity) on the edge to improve grip and reduce the dust
I'm yet to receive the h2d with the AMS 2 pro on my side... Out of curiosity, on a combo with AMS 2 pro, did you receive the power adapter to use the drying function of the AMS 2 pro?

How's this project coming along?
Actually, I need to find some 3mm diameter extension springs for the hood hinges and the truck is finished. I'll post some pics when I have time - with or without springs.
In addition to our VW Bus prototype, I've picked up two more projects: '70 F350 flat bed farm truck (I have the F100 files so why not) and an '04 Crown Vic county sheriff's car.
I really like printing with ABS and I'm using it for almost everything these days. It's a bit more fiddly than PLA but it sands, paints and finishes beautifully.
Thanks for asking.

Looking forward to seeing the pics!
There's also a Dune Buggy and a Sand Rail in the Gdrive, that GoMachV uploaded, been thinking about giving one of those a print.

I never got around to the vw but the sandy was super cool. Remember to pick up the belts, bearings, and out runner motor if you start printing one- get them ordered so you aren't waiting

Yes I've seen them. Both are very cool and I will print them one day. It will be a nice break to simply print a completed kit that's been fully developed and doesn't require any design work. I began design work on this pickup in December. I think it has taken more time than it's worth.

That looks great in purple, is that paint or the filament color?
Will gather the parts next, thanks again!
