Not sure how he did it. You cut a small piece and fit into the "cup" of the axle and outdrive. This stops the dog bone from going to the bottom of one side and falling out of the other. I think I used a piece of a foam earplug to get the same effect.
Hope this helps/makes sense.

Does anyone know if you can adapt touring car wheels(hex drive) to fit the rc10? Anybody? Bueller?

I don't know about touring car wheels, but here is how to do HPI hex drive wheels:

So what parts did you use to get the sc10 hex to work? Looks nice. How well does it work?

Maybe some Technacraft-style wheels that are slightly bigger bead depth? Then just bolt 'em on? Thoughts? Chris REC

Last night I was wondering if my CVDs from my tc3 would work since I have broken dog bone. I took everything off my rc10 and then the tc3. The bearings drooped right in! The "drive shaft" part was too short but the axel fit nicely. I took the Hexs and they seemed like they will work perfectly. Needless to say I could not try it out but it might help someone.

I added a green spacer on the hub,can be tuned to run the hubs forward or aft...Another good thing which was most important to me is that the cvd fits in the outdrive perfectly in the middle..Going to the track today to try it out guys
davidka wrote:Muffin, what's the track width of that compared to stock? Nice find.

Didn't see an answer to this questions...do the Kyosho hubs and CVDs change the track width at the rear?

I put the B4 rear stub axle in an old RC10 by changing out the bearings. Then I installed the B4 rear wheels. Only problem is the B4 wheels have a greater offset than the RC10 wheels so the rear is now narrower than the RC10. Anyone else have this problem, and how did you get around it?

Thanks

Go back to the first page of this thread and start reading. There are various methods listed.

In the fronts i am using Blitz front hub assembly for use of hex on the fronts. On the rears I'm using Blitz (generation 1) rear axels and bearing in the stock RC10 hubs. I pressed in the bearings flush on the inside and outside . I used the hip blitz stuff because I had it on hand and it fit.
