I know where there is a A& L rear wrap around brace kit nip but it's not cheap (not mine a friend has one), I could see if he would like to deal if your interested.

Thanks for the offer Al. I have the one that came with the kit I just don't like the look of it and wanted to do something different. I appreciate the thought though as that would probably be an impossible part to find by itself.

I understand the dark color would kind of defeat the fiberglass and gold look you have tried to achieve. I like it, definitely a great build and a beautiful addition to your great collection of quality cars. The gold rear bumper will set it off nicely. I have the conversion kit for the RC10 tub and have been playing with it for a while. Mine has the black composite rear shock tower so I still haven't got a color scheme in my head just yet. I bought the bits I needed to finish it from Daryl last year, I hope it turns out as nice as your but I don't think so right now so it's on the back burner.

Good luck with your project once you get to it. I have always thought the trailing arm conversion was a cool hop-up. I have an idea to do one with a gold tub and a JG truck conversion. I like the idea of the metal arms with the metal tub. Still working out the details. It should however be a good way around the buggy body/ rear shock tower clearance issues with these kits.

Yeah, the rear shock tower is significantly taller than the stock RC10 one. I wound up slicing the back of the body off and building a custom body mount in front of the tower to sit the body lower. So, the body sits below the shock tower rather than over it.

From what I have seen that is one of the only options with these kits. I think I have seen one with a Funco body on it that had more clearance due to the body design. Not sure where the post is though. I have not looked at bodies for this build yet but I will probably do the same as you and just cut the back half of the body off. Maybe mount a big wing to make up for the lack of lexan. Do you have a pic of your buggy posted? I would love to see it.

ya, the bolink funco 2 seater seems to be the best fit. just be careful how high up you cut the sides. don't ask me how i know.
