Thats great, im in the same boat with my son CJ. CJ is 5 and needed a project/hobby for the summer. My Buddy had an old gold tub RTR he sold to us for 100 dollars. It came with hundreds of extra parts, almost all aftermarket, the speed contol and radio and servo are all very nice. It was running very well, but it needed bearings and a good overall disassembly and cleanup. Weve had a lot of fun with it, this was my first car many years ago, only i didnt have a stealth tranny and a fancy motor and speed control! He doesnt have the star wars figures, but has many original he-man figures from my childhood. This project is teaching him patience and I am becoming addicted again!

I put this on the shelf last christmas when i bought the 2 phoenix buggies..I thought wow that will save me some money and time....BOY was i wrong all the parts are crap, they drove bad and broke often..The only real positive was the boys learned to love buggy more.. so out come the gold tubs to finish and race..my sons like driving the buggies more than their sc10 or slashes. so we gonna finish them...ImageImage[/img][/img]
