Yeah, I paid a pretty penny for it. I can't wait to get it going.

I remember my dad getting into RC racing while I was racing and an RPS SE was his choice.
It was terribly slow and inefficient, at least with a "stock" motor. But it handled pretty good.
It is on my "wish list" of cars to collect...... :D
i also remember one at our local track. it looked a bit like a basher(body was fryed) but it was so quick and unbeatable...must find one also..nice buggy you have there. congrats

I'm glad I kept mine. They weren't the fastest 4WD in their day, but these early Yokes handled a rough track much better than the Optimas at my track. I mostly raced 4WD Stock, so I can identify with the eficiency issues. Just making a 1000mAh-1200mAh NiCad pack last five minutes on a hot day was an adventure. I remember seeing these cars in the Mod 4WD class and being amazed at how fast they cut laps. They went through even more chains and one ways than I did...

When the track closed down (1988 IIRC) I could have cleaned out the Yokomo section of the hobby shop for pennies on the dollar (Including bodies and several hopup parts). Didn't think I'd ever need Yokomo parts again...

That body won't really fit too well on a 834b chassis. It's for a YZ10 chassis. You'd have to butcher the heck out of it to get it to fit, something I would personally not be willing to do myself.

I would have to trust your judgement then, as I feel you may just know what your talking about. :) .

I'd bet you could sell that YZ10 body and buy an 834B body with the proceeds!!!

That is true but I have both styles of the 834B body New ( Original not Reproduction ) RPS and Funco
It may sell one day but for now it stays.

Remember that my RPS and FUNCO bodies come from the original mold, it is symantics, but I personally consider them a re-release.

Don't misunderstand my statement, Mr Lexan. I have the utmost respect for you and your work ethic. All my deals with you have been superb and I admire you for being able to get the original molds. (I am just still waiting on that deal on the XR4TI Body  Just Kidding   ) But seriously not slanted towrds you at all. 8) Just a statement.

yep that andy's body is for a different generation YZ-10. But I understand your mistake: I had 2 of those at one point and remember the header doesn't tell you which yok it's supposed to fit.
I never actually figured out which exact version it fits, but I think it should have the shocks behind the rear tower unless you're going to butcher up the rear of the body. Tricky business all: put it on the wrong model and it won't fit the original underbody well either. Any chance for a better picture of the paintjob: mine and all others I saw were clear or not painted by Andy's and he has an excellent reputation.
