Thanks for the info. :D I decided on some lower C batteries so I wouldn’t have to think about throttle control so much. Maybe I can give the marshalls a break!

Hey, no problem. I love the run time I get from my 20-28C lipos.
I also mentioned that I could hold him off in the twistys, and that's most of the track. I'd rather have to work at clean driving in order to beat the guys with the empty wallets.

C rating is useless unless you are getting into mod touring cars or 1/8 electric. However, as it was posted before, the higher C cells usually have lower resistance, and that is what you are feeling on the track.

A friend develops battery systems for full scale hybrid and electric cars, and he has stated that the "state of charge", or basically the discharge curve is most important. In other words, get the biggest pack you can to keep the volts up throughout the run.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but thought some might find the info helpful. It would be nice if more companies were represented, but it's better than nothing. Although, I would disagree with their final results review of the Winforce pack. I bought two of them and they were exactly what I was looking for. A cheap mild battery for slippery track conditions. It does not feel like something is wrong with the car though. It just has less punch than my Maxamps. Anyway, kinda interesting.
