any chance those beefier shock rod ends were meant for one of the 1/8 on road cars? the rc500 had shocks, right?

Well, could have saved a lot of discussion. I just tried them in all my spring retainers, both the slotted and unslotted and they are too big. If they are for socks I do not have the correct retainers. They came in a shock lot so I just assumed. Assumption is the mother of all f-ups. Don't know what they belong to. :?

Open up the shocks and it too has these very tiny two-hole pistons. Go figure.
Thankfully I still have 1 set left of the notched ones.

Ruffy. Looks like you are getting all the correct parts. How do you do it? Nice!

Just lucky and a lot of vigilance over the internet.

Today I was lucky enough to receive my first full set of new original RC10 Goodyear tires (yes with Goodyear on the sidewalls!) !! Thanks to a friend, once more I am very lucky to have people like this around me.
I think it's margarita time tonight at Chili's with the week I have had. Some good, some bad news.
Good news, got the cars, tires and chassis I have been hunting for. Bad news, our AC condensor motor gave up the ghost after 11 years and I made due since Monday with a $45.00 motor that worked well, but wasn't sealed against the rainy weather (blower motor I bought to be able to sleep at night with the Florida heat), and today I found and bought the correct condensor sealed motor for the outside AC unit ($72.00) and now everything should be good for another 10-12 years, (knocks on wood).
:D
Still ended up on the plus side as I called 4 AC services and for any one of them, the motor alone without labor or other fees would have been at least $600.00 , plus 75.00 labor plus 109.00 evaluation fee for just coming out.
I need to write myself a check!
:D

Here are pics I just took of all of my "Original Vintage" RC10 Edinger tires I have. The ones leaning against the backwall are the GOODYEAR ones'. They are all in brand new unused condition. No wear as all the edges of the knobbies are crisp and sharp, as are the ribs on the fronts.

Simple green to get them clean, then food grade silicone spray to preserve the rubber. Don't use petroleum based silicones ( like lubricants) as they will deteriorate the rubber instead of help it.

Where do you get food grade silicone spray? I've got some but it doesn't say whether it food grade or petroleum based.

Amazon.com

If it doesn't say "food grade" it is most likely a petroleum based lubricant.
