I can't tell what type of motor guard that is, but I used one from a traxxas. You'll still have to drill a hole in the motor plate :( You can modify the traxxas part to mount between the chassis and the rear mount (in the notch).

I'll post a pic later of the part...

The motor guard is from an Ultima Sport (p/n RS45). Which Traxxas part did you use?

It's from a blue eagle, but it's also used on a number of traxxas cars. It can easily be modified to fit on an ultima. It came in 3 colors...blue, grayish, black.
