That's funny... mine was a maroon 1976 Caprice Classic 4 door. It had the frameless windows, so when open you could get three mooners hanging out the side and still see the sideview mirror.

The back seat was big enough for... um, well...

Car had that weird diamond back rear windshield. stuffed a couple of crappy house speakers back there. And there was still enough room in the back seat....

My first car was a 1978 Ford Granada sedan, in an ugly green color, with factory deleted power steering, but... this thing had a factory 4-spd O/D manual tranny bolted to a 302 cid V-8... It would lay down 30-foot patches of rubber! My friends would freak out at this ugly family sedan smoking the tires everywhere.
I believe this 302 was also a "Windsor" motor (like the 351), and I believe it was factory rated at a little over 200hp - remember, Mustang 5.0's in the 1980's were only rated at 225hp (I owned the Granada in the late 80's), so this thing kicked-butt for a high-school kid!
Although, I must admit, chicks didn't dig it that much - I sold it and got a 1982 Datsun 280zx, for my Senior year...
Here's a pic of a much nicer Granada than mine, I had the same hubcaps and everything, just well-worn and painted an ugly green - imagine a high-school kid dumping the clutch and burning the tires all over town in this thing:

1986 Jeep Cherokee. After 19 years, I still drive it to work everyday, although it's rusting so badly I think this is the last year I can drive it

'78 Trans Am. My Brother picked this up for me when i was 15 and helped me restore it. We stripped the car, removed the driveline and anything that would or could be removed. We then painted it outside under a big tarp and also got in trouble from my neighbor for getting blue overspray all over his white aluminum sided garage

. My father helped with engine. We finished the car about 6 months before i turned 17 and it was the longest 6 months of my life!! I got 14 points on my licence in the first 3 weeks of driving. Many fun times. Now shes gone and almost go sued over the sale of it

but the good memories still live on........

57 VW Bug. I always dabbled in Aircooled VW's. It's funny, I got more chics with VW's than with my muscle cars anyday.

Mine too!!

I totally F'd that truck up. It was a perfectly nice, reliable, stock 2wd S-10 then I decided it needed a Fabtech lift and fiberglass front fenders....

I was able to squeeze 32's under it and that poor 2.8L V6 didn't have a chance...
Oh well, 10 years after getting rid of it, I'm still drivin' the truck I traded the S-10 in for. A 2001 Silverado which just hit 188,000 miles. I love this truck! Never one issue or bad experience with it. Hell, I've never even done shocks or brakes on it yet!! I checked the pads about a month ago and they're still at over 50%!! Gotta love the 4 wheel discs....

1979 Honda CVCC. What a piece of crap. 2 speed "hondamatic" transmission. You had to manually shift form 1st to 2nd. It was a real speed demon with those 2 speeds, let me tell ya. Downhill with a tail wind I could get this little gem up to 60. When cold started, it would leave a plume of smoke so big that it would engulf itself as well as the 4 cars surrounding it in a parking lot. I did a motor swap to take care of the warped head (the reason for the excess smoke) And I guess the new motor had soooo much more HP that it blew the tranny about a week later. Got to swap it out too.
On a positive note, it went just about anywhere you pointed it, proven by many offroad excursions, and the little fella jumps pretty well.
The pic isn't mine, just the closest I could find. Mine was painted in a glorious metallic baby crap brown.

Nice, I
severely beat on mine as only a new teenage driver could.

It had the 2.8 in it as well which surprisingly never gave me an ounce of trouble. I had it from 96-99 before a parking lot it was in flooded. The water level was almost over the roof and thus it was deemed as totaled. The funny thing was the insurance company gave me $4500 for it and I was trying to sell it prior and couldn't even get 500 bucks.
I then bought an 89 Saab 900 Turbo which I had from 99-05 until the transmission went in it. Then from 05-now I have my Chevy C1500 pickup that has 150,000 miles on it and still going strong.
