Go KW Blue.... all the cool kids are doing it
[its cool the chassis is ok, I was just going to rebuild it to like new to go with the new BK1 and BK2 I have. I have the factory blue motor plate, and a new light weight one I had anodised blue to match. all that was wrong with it was my son in law melted the center out of the diff, with a 7700 Mamba Max. I wanted a shelf queen but I may just put it back together and make a runner out of it? how cool would it be to run a real Kinwald at the Vonats? I think I have everything but new blue nuts to put it back stock.[/quote]

If you decide you need a new chassis or any other bits mate- lmk.

(we suffer the same "problem" - remember!!)
Have a real soft spot for Losi - glad to be finally driving one again in modern competition next year too!
This looks like it should scrub up ok! Given your past efforts - this ones gonna look brilliant as well.
Cheers

If you swap out those ally driveshafts for MIP items (stock on the kinwald) let me know. Also, it looks like that car is running a king-pin ball stud up front - I thought that conversion was for the XXT....

This car has been used and abused vey badly. the guy who bought it new raced it and thrashed it pretty hard. and looks to have replaced alot of parts from crashes. I belive the king pin was an option in the Kinwald kit. I will look in the manual and get back to you.

I just doug it out and I think all I need to do is order some tie rods, bearings, and new gears. that mamba even melted the case. the top gear is gone the center idler gear shaft melted right off of the case. this car is to far gone to ever be a shelfer.

but it is going to be a great runner. so after Xmas I will order up some parts and get it back together. here are some picks of its current state.

Well I picked up a really nice XXcr from Gary, and combined it with my BK to finish up this car. the BK was pretty trashed so most of it has been replaced. but its going to be a nice runner. I am on the fence weather I am going to race this car or my pro se at the next Vonats. this car turned out really nice. some of the Blue parts are not on it at the moment because I am thinking about sending them out to be redone in a new color? I am thinking about redoning them in a Red or Green, just something different. the paint is my first attemped at this kind of job and its done 100% spray can. I tossed the CVD's in the parts box, I dont like them at all. I have never had a dog bone fail, but the CVD's are always breaking on me.
