Good grief, Lance and Danica are both perfect examples of everything wrong in sports. There are plenty of others in that list, as well. Armstrong is pond scum and lower than that because he uses his Cancer Foundation to hide behind. The things he has done will catch up to him sooner or later and the shine will be off of that turd, too. ;)

Danica... well, she's proving me right on a weekly basis lately.

Great Pic's Jay, plus that bike of yours looks plush. I have been riding for years. was very active in downhill racing in the 90's but after a couple of crashes and two helicopter airlifts I hung up my helmet on racing. Now most of my miles are done commuting back and forth to work. Tonight I will be going on SJbikeparty ride http://www.sjbikeparty.org/ which usually draws about 1500-2000 participants. Tonight it will be warm so I bet there will be over 3000 people riding.

I've got bikes runnign out my ears. A Bianchi commuter, a Tomasini road bike, Specialized cross country bike and a Mongoose Downhill bike. In addition I have my Dad's schwinn cruiser, My moms western flyer Beach cruiser, a vintage schwinn tandem and a couple of road bikes I want to make into fixie's. Then shodog jr's got a schwinn orange county chopper, an SE racing BMX bike, a Specialized full suspension bike and a Italian Puch road bike converted to a look like a fixie.

i forgot what a bicycle was shortly after getting that thing called a drivers license. did you ever try drag racing a 91 5.0 on a haro fsx? not the easiest thing to do. :P

Nice bike.  I've really enjoyed my Trek, while I've not ridden as much as I'd planned when I bought it, I've still managed to rack up 750 miles on it, which is a lot when you consider it's done in 5 to 10 mile increments.

Maybe not, but the exhilaration when you win is worth it!

Yes if I can recall correctly I raced the dual slalom and cross country in '94, '95, '97. The dual slalom was cool as it gave my parents a chance to watch me race. Last time they saw me race was my BMX days in '82-'83

Those are the years I was racing NORBA DS and XC. Good times, but I don't miss racing competitively.

I'd love to go to Sea Otter. Too bad it's not the same week at the ALMS race or the Historics.

Here's the one I have my eye on.

Jay,

When you make the trip down to O-town bring your bike. My middle boy and I ride and there's a couple places close to UCF that we could hit. Or if you have the time we could make the drive to Santos in Ocala.

Will do Jeff. There is a chance we are coming home for Xmas, but with our planned trip to Snowshoe, we might have to put that on hold. It's hard for my wife to get time off. She pretty much runs the place where she works and there are only two other girls that don't have much motiviation to get anything done. Prior to Snowshoe, both me and wife agreed we'd bring them and that we'd have to do a day in Ocala for sure. Seen that place online and in mags. We'll keep you posted.
