i will try oven cleaner if i get nowhere, stupid vintage traxxas quality (notice i say
vintage)
I had the same frustrations with some wheels that I got from a buddy for my Turbo Optima. It looked like there were coats of gold paint on them, but it turned out there were also coats of silver beneath the gold. Easy-Off worked better than the acetone, but it took a few days of spraying, letting them sit 12h, brushing off what I could with a toothbrush, re-spraying and letting them sit another 12h...so if you're not getting the results with acetone, use Easy-Off heavy duty oven cleaner (as was recommended to me, the one with the yellow cap). Good luck!

yeah we shall see
now heres a curve ball any recomendations on aluminum rims? i mean i could polish those suckrs up and make um look almost as good as crome. besides if nothing else itll stop the car from poping wheelies when i do ocasionaly drive the thing
found these, all i should need to do is change spindles up front and do some dicking around with the rear axles, although at 50 bucks id rather look elsewhere

and actualy in a turn of luck a number of the parts listed on that site for the nitro rusty will work on my srt and nitro hawk so win win

Use a needle, I had to do that too...Turbo Optima wheels with their little faux-holes-resembling-reverse-nuts and normal Optima wheels with their faux-rivets.
