Was the conversion to get back then...I still remembered having to take out grass that gets stuck in and around the chain...

You had to het it fast! Duratrax was discontinuing the kit because AE had the Gt comming out.
I never had problem with grass getting in the chain drive. Just the chain breaking and stripping the diff. I made a steel diff sprocket and all sprockets and added a SS chain. I replaced the stock tank with a 75cc. Now I get 10 min run time. I run mine so hard I had to replace the complete clutch system. I wanted different gearing options and found pinion gears that worked with a little modifcation. I now have 13,14 and 15.

Nice DTX converts guys.
I need to work on mine, but my resto GT is on the bench now. Do y'all have a line on any parts for these, besides the bay?

I have not seen many of these kits. On this site is about all I have seen. As for parts on the duratrax kits, yeah ebay, or for sale section here maybe. I think I might have a set of the upper decks for the chassis, but that is about it for spares. Let me know if I can help.
