I don't know because I can only measure things 9 and 1/2 inches at a time!

Sorry, I just can't help myself! Honestly though I don't have anything more sophisticated than a tape measure. I can do the conversion, but where do I measure from? The back of the hub to the outside of the drive? :?

you have regular rc10 universals installed in the truck now, correct? well, if you had a set of rc10 cvd's in it, the end of the bone will be in the same place. so on one of my cars i just measured from the outside of the arm mount (where you bone ends) to the center of the outdrive. that gave me about 20 mm. so, with the added 19 mm length of the custom works wide cvd, it should put the drive pin right about where you'd want it. and since CW uses associated transmission stuff, the ends will fit in your stealth outdrives.

Makes sense to me. I'm going to do a search now, but if I come up empty where should I look? Are they in production now? Thanks! 8)

$20.37 to the door! This is my second favorite version of an RC10 that I've personally owned. The only thing I liked more was the Jammer! (and I think I found one locally... )

Well I’ve really neglected any vintage related projects lately due to my so called life(I mean the real thing, not the tv show  ). Sorry  . Anyway, another classic r/c blunder. I didn’t think fitment would be an issue, but clearly I was wrong. Murphy’s Law(again, the real thing, not the tv show)seems to have taken over from the start of this project and never released it’s icy grip. This shell will work fine as long as I don’t want to do anything crazy like…oh…I dunno…STEER or GO FORWARD!! Oh well, as Thomas Edison once said “I never failed, I simply came up with 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb.” or something like that. I love the shape of this body, it just doesn’t fit the oddball assortment of parts in this project.

Anyway, does anyone have any other body ideas? It doesn’t have to be a truck I guess(although if I switch it now I’d be in clear violation of the truck forum). 11” long and 9 and ¾” wide are the rough measurements(I was going to use the ‘ symbol to pay soft unspoken homage to Spinal Tap, but thought better of it.)from center tire each way.

Ponder your thoughts while I go watch Hot Tub Time Machine again. If that doesn’t help with the retro thought then nothing will. Would’ve been nice if the director had worked a nice r/c rivalry in there, but it probably would have confused most movie-goers…

Got any pics? I searched Google images, but had no luck…well actually that’s not true. I found this, which doesn’t help this project will provide much amusement at a later date.

Well, since I'm workspace challenged at the moment(for more reasons than I could ever explain)I've really been dragging my feet on this.

I have a new direction I want to go anyway. Clearly the wheels are hideous on this thing and the body won't fit right anyway(but I have a new cooler idea for a body I think). For starters, anyone know of any wheels similar to these that might be modified to fit this?
