once the nylon strips it's kind of done, the one thing you can do that will help out in a pinch is putting a dab of CA on the fastener, just be careful not to get it everywhere, like for instance if you're mounting some of your fiber lyte parts, don't want CA drips down any of the carbon!

Put some ca glue in the holes and run the screw in. Take it out before it sets completely.

if possible tap them for the next diameter screws available. By tapping the tread beforehand you put less stress than by just putting in a larger screw.

Agreed, the next largest screw would be the most secure way to mount them, but I've found using a cutting tap makes the holes feel loose as well (like threading it into a metal nut). Unless the hole is so tight you can't get the screw in, letting the screw cut it's own threads will work OK in soft plastic like this.

I figured that was the case, but I wasn't sure; I was looking up the drill sizes and I can't do the math in my head right now LOL

I've got 3 taps in my kit: different stages of finish. For plastic I only use upto the 2nd for the above reason.

A bit of a thread resurrection here, I think I may be competing with Scr8p for completing projects.

I know being in the UK can slow these projects down but nearly three years .
