HI!... Well got the itch to start putting the "TEAM" car back together. This is as far as I have gotten tonight. The parts that are missing are currently getting the "Whitening" treatment, so it will be a few days before they get installed. I also have to go get some bearings for the inside of the Stealth trans.

HI!... Well did a bit more work to the "TEAM" car today. I just need to get a good set of nose tubes powder coated black and get the body. I really need to find a set of original rear tires for this thing. I have the original front tire/rims but need rear tires. I have the correct rims. You RC-10 experts, look over the car closely and tell me if anything is incorrect. Trying to get it as close to original as possible.

Thanks :

Neal

HI!... Well this is as far as I have gotten. I've added some vintage electronics, and battery to it. Still need two TQ-22 rear tires to complete the restoration. I've ordered a body. Should be here soon. The wheels whitened up really well. The fronts have a few scratches on them, but the rears look like new.

I just discovered that thread - gorgeous work :)

Are the pics above the chassis after the blasting, or is there further processing involved?

Keep up the good work!

HI!... Paul :

Yes those pics were takin right after they were glass beaded. I then washed the parts in soap and water and then dried them off with compressed air. Then I simply dropped them off at my powder coaters. I have two more chassis's that will be getting powder coated later this week. Another "TEAM" car chassis and a CE chassis.

HI!... It's just a sand blasting cabinet that I run glass bead through instead of sand. Silica sand is know to cause cancer so I stopped using it. The glass bead seems to work much better and creates 80% less dust. Noit that it matters. You can see in the pic below that I have a industrial vacuum system hooked to the cabinet.

HI!... It's been awhile but got some more parts to install on the RC10 "TEAM" car. I scored a set of NIP Team Associated #6822 rear tires. I also installed a set of nose tubes. There not black. When I go to powder coat another chassis I'll get the nose tubes done. I have two other sets of NIP black nose tubes but for some reason there about a 1/2 inch short and have no threads in the very end. Weird. I have a body. I just need to trim and paint it and still need to buy a rear wing.

Those would be truck nose tubes...

The buggy ones are still available from Tower AE 6321
