I agree. Run the shocks then upgrade his later.

If I can get his for $16 shipped like I did all 8 of mine, I will!!

$16 shipped? That's a sweet deal.
What are your views on the twin detonator/Blackfoot extreme? Pros and cons. I like the looks of the Blackfoot and being 4wd and a little smaller than an emaxx it would be fun.

Yeah, that was a pretty sweet deal on the shocks.
As far as the TD and BFX go, we love them a lot. We beat them up pretty good and they keep on going.
They both have full ball bearings and they have oil shocks and aluminum A arms from RC Damper off of eBay.
Mine has 2 Tamyia sport tuned motors and a Tamiya dual motor ESC.
Out of the box they are OK, but they need oil shocks at a minimum for them to handle and to do any real jumps. Full ball bearings are a big plus and should be used.
The plastic A arms take a beating and the stock factory shock screws and arm attaching screws will back them selves out and come off.
I had to nut and bolt the upper control arms to the chassis and hubs because the screws kept coming out after use and the boy lost a couple dog bones on his BFX. The shocks started to do the same thing. I got the aluminum shocks and aluminum A arms and so far it has never been an issue any longer.
The TD is a lot faster with the sport tuned motors and it take jumps and hills pretty good, the BFX is good, but the 2WD can be lacking at times and it can get stuck easy. They are the same chassis except the TD is 4WD and the BFX is 2WD.
The TD comes with e MSC and it should have a ESC for it to run more efficiently. I got the Tamiya dual motor ESC for it and it is nice.
My boy is 5 YO and he loves his BFX and he drives it really well and can do a lot with it.
TD
BFX

But this will give you an idea on what they are & what not.
They have doulall 540 motors, but both on the transmition instead of 1 at each axle.
this one has differant links, integy shocks & longer drivelines.

Im hoping the Post Office will pay for the damages & then it will be a shelfer & i wont worry about the bad discription
It got the bed mount bent & a crack in the back corner of the cab during shipping & 1 shock shaft bent too...
But the lady at the PO said they may decide to just pay the sale price, not "insured price" or shipping. & then destroy it! I hope they dont decide to do that. Its still a nice runner & still has value. But in my opinion, its just not a shelf queen like the seller stated.
If they refuse to pay, Ill just drive it & beat the #ell out of it .
