If it was about the money I would have stopped long ago that is for sure. Will have some new pics soon, I have been making some progress.

Just about ready to hit the track and clean up on some new 22's  Losa5051 shock cartridges and XXX threaded bodies and introducing the all new Lunsford titanium 2 5/8" punisher upper trailing kit 8) Rulux B4wheels with the spaces at rear ends up slightly wider than stock but still legal, not that anyone would know or care these days. B4 wheels are cheap and easy to come buy and I already have a bunch.

I just need some new springs and 13.5T brushless power is also on the way and couple little things but basically done.

Thanks guys, if all goes well it will be the 3rd weekend in January it will hit the track. My driving is not the greatest at best so I certainly won't be the best judge but if I can put in some clean laps I will be happy.

I'll be racing it along with my new XXX-sct alongisde it.

Unfortunately no action shots of car. I managed to run a couple battery packs through on a practice day on a small indoor high bite clay track.

The day started with a kid who worked at the hobby shop oddly looking at the rear suspension and saying "that thing will never turn". I just smiled and said don't be so sure, even cars in 1989 made turns

Sufficed it to say it does turn and quite well. I am the limiting factor as 2wd buggy is not easy for this guy. I had a 13.5 brushless which was simply too much for me. I need to go down to 17.5, especially on this smaller track. I ran a 25pinion with the 84 spur and it felt very smooth.

With Gold Barcodes the car actually was well planted, turned well, and had great traction. Surprising how much grip actually and no push like I would have expected. No mechanical issues at all after a couple break in laps I retightened the diff and it stayed that way and feels great with the ceramic balls. It flies in the air very tail happy so I need to work on that and get quicker at adjusting the nose in the air. Not a lot of good places for weight up front.

The few clean laps I turned you would have had no idea this car was not a modern ride. After I ran a a couple times many people showed interest yet only a couple people had a clue what it was and the crowd varied from young to old. I had a couple clean laps with an RC10B4 and again to me it could have been a new car hanging right in there.

I don't think I can win the worlds but today did give me the confidence to stay after this one and campaign it a bit but it will be in 2wd stock.

The spring combo I am running orange in front and green in back feels pretty well sorted but I actually may stiffen the rear a bit more, I seem to be smacking bottom to easy.

Anyways, all in all this car could hang in the right hands I am certain after today.

As a side my new XXX-sct was so well sorted right out of the box I could not believe it. It made me look like a much better driver than I am to the point people were checking out my set up and I was laughing thinking I just took it out of the box last night.

The soft tail end could be your jumping issue also. What green springs are those, AE? I would look at Losi Pink or Red in the rear.

I do like this car...I was going to build a "correct" 5 link car, but I think I will pay homage to this old modern racer first...I'm not big on shelfers anyways

Got a quick non-losi parts break down?

They are Losi springs. I will try others, I did not want to spend to much time tinkering today and just enjoy myself. I was thinking reds actually, good idea.

Hmm, non Losi:

RPM front arms, carriers and steering blocks. RPM rear lateral links. The upper trailing links are Lunsford punisher 2 & 5/8 inch links, lunsford titanium links all around, custom works .125 spacers at rear wheels. Currently has a B4 wing on it as it is what I had. Other than that is is all Losi. Shocks (all be them a newer version obviously, gearbox, slipper, chassis all losi. In essence it is a JRX Pro SE with a 5 link set up. The wing mounts are XX4 and I drilled the shock tower to mount.

Pretty much what I thought, 99% Losi with a couple tweeks to run the B4 wheels. Since I have built 1 RC10 racer to use the B4s, seriously contemplating my second RC10 racer to use the B4s, if I build one similar to this with B4 wheels...see where I am going

eases the amount of tires/wheels I have to buy, but I still will need electronics for them all

also have a Traxxas TCP in the wings that will be race ready, have to figure out how to use B4 wheels on it too...

looking great man. did you have a body on it when you were running it? you havent showed us a body yet. the reason I ask is if not that could be part of the jumping problems. but glad to see it racing. I have on I am working on also.

I had to hack an old beat up JRX2 body to just fit, I now have a proper pro length body that will be on next time.

The losi green springs on back are rated 3.7lb, reds are 2.6 and pink 2.3 so those would actually be lighter. The orange ones on front are 2.9lbs the second lightest compared to front reds at 2.5lb.

Right now it has 35wt oil in front and 30 wt in rear, maybe I should also try going the other way on that.

Funny all the thought in this when the one I pulled out of the box just stuck and went like stink
