Hey, I can always use more reference photos for the wing.

Actually I thought about getting some Tamiya buggy tires, snipping off the spikes, and smoothing out the surface on a homemade tire truer. They would be the right sids, and grip really isn't an issue unless I find a place to race it, in which case I would just buy whatever tires work at that track. Custom Works still makes a version of the Strikers, so I don't mind running them now.

how about something like a losi slider tire and wheel combo? not a slick, but proportionally correct I would think.

Love it! That killer street buggy has been on my to-do list since I had that magazine when it was new.

I will lower the body as much as I can but still clear the battery back if I end up shifting it to the left side. I will be making a new chassis for it.

id think of just using a ds front end.. i tried the ds arm on the 10t bulkhead. the 10t front bulkhead needed alot of triming to fit the ds arm...

I may end up using the DS front end, but I already have the flattened nose plate and a front bulkhead that's been cut down on the left side to fit a buggy arm that I did years ago LOL

good work .. i got fed up tring to get a ds arm on that bulkhead.. if you did the work id put it to use..

I just threw the DS front end together and I can't see it working at all. It's too small and light, and only four 4-40 screws hold it down. It would need a ton of spacers to fit the truck arm, so I can see either breaking screws of bending hinge pins during a crash. This particular 10T bulkhead doesn't line up correctly, so I'll cut into another one. One of the rolling chassis I bought last year has plenty of worn, badly-dyed parts that I don't feel bad about cutting into. You just have to go slow and keep measuring to make sure you don't cut too much.

im not a cut to fit guy. im more of an add , or bolt on parts to make it work kinda guy... speeking of bolt on, if you get fed up with the cut to fit idea you can still do a off set oval racer with all bolt on parts on a stock rc10 chassis..

Can someone tell me what wheels these are in these pics? espically the front, they seem quite wide and perfect for my project

Striker I for 2.0" front or rear wheels. Part# 1051.

I know, only cause I have 2 pair I've been holding on to for a project.

Custom Works and HPI both make tires with similar patterns...but with a shorter outer diameter. The HPI are for 1.9" TC wheels and come in 26mm and 31mm widths.


Front Wheels are Part #2557.

Looks like an interesting build. Custom works has a 7x7 wing for a dirt sprinter if you dont want to build ur own. Cant wait to see more.
