That was my second car as a kid, gotta love it (even if it's crap compared to a good old 10

)
the RC10 was not that great at all , only in the hands off TEAM drivers at the time , which still are one off the best drivers in world.
then how was the TopCat back then? Only running good in super-expert drivers from outer space

The Topcat was great in its time and half the price off a RC10.
Only in England it was a very popular car with many podium places.
it is only made for one year because the car was not very popular in the USA ,so they made the cougar with the upright shocktowers which was more common.

Jamie Booth at the 1989 world championship ended 6 place , just before a RC10 .
all the other Associated cars were the prototype cars.

Half the price for you because the RC10 was an IMPORT car. Apples to apples, the Schumacher off road cars in the 80s here were also VERY expensive. For a Cougar or a Top Cat to be half the price of the RC10 here, it would have had to have sold at about $80.
Don't think I ever saw ANY car sell for less than $100 in this country—domestic or import.
Your argument against the RC10 is a very weak one. If it was such a superior car, why has the RC10 been around for 24-odd years and the Schumacher buggies had a ghost of an existence, at best? How many world championships did it win? How many national championships? How many are still around today? When was the last Schumacher buggy made worth buying?
Jeroen, I love Schumachers, don't get me wrong, but your statements against the RC10 are downright wrong.

That is just my opinion too
Can't beat a 24 years (G)old argument

Sorry guys , i did not want to say that the RC10 was a bad car.
it is was a great car with many Championship titles.
But Asso-man said that the Topcat was crap compared to the RC10.
But the Topcat was only produced one year (1989) and in that year it was
6th place at the Worlds ,and first place at the European Championship , i think that is not bad for a new car.
Sorry , when i offended somebody , but i am a real schumacherman.
They made great cars , but not as many titles as the associated cars.
(fireblade-2000 1996 european Champion).

All the way back home from Canada, this arrived today with all the bits and pieced and it's everything I could have hoped for

. It has been lightly ran but a little chassis polish and this will be shelf queen standard all the way

. This is really one of those iconic cars for me.

Iconic? For sure dude, this is one of the few 2wd that made RC history. It was the second (and last) car my Dad offered me when I was 16 to replace my first Ultima that was so smashed I could not even run it... It's a great looking car and it runs great too, but I always broke at least one part every sunday and was fed-up with buying replacing parts so I worked hard in the summer holiday and bought a too expensive RC10 Team Car with a black chassis (if I remember well the kit only cost me 400$ at the time), I had always dreamt about it and a dream came true... Like 2 years later (1992 or so) I sold everything because it cost me too much and did want to go out in the week-ends and offer some beverage to those walking chassies with nice growing bumpers

I came back in racing 3 years ago and bought a B4, great car, but it was so different from what I used to race, I thought I must get an old gold tub (just one I thought), and now here I am with an endless list of stuff and cars

The TopCat RULES definitely

Sorry for hijacking your post Ferretti, but you have touched a sensible cord here

yes , i like the RC10 also , i even got one(RC10B4)
But i am a schumacher fan , from the late 80 and early 90 when i raced them.
I like all the early 2wd , like the RC10-TRX1-JRX-Topcat-Cougar.
I had all these cars , but i sold them all , exept my schumacher collection.
But my most favorite car is still the Topcat

I also like all those early 2wd's, the only vintage 4wd I own is a Kyosho Gallop which has still to be restored. The TopCat is also one of my favourite buggies, mainly because I ran it when I was 16 or so. But my heart goes for th RC10, definitely
