I laughed when the rumors of $5 a gallon were around a couple months back. Now this last week we had a dime a day price jump and currently are about $3.30 a gallon

. We pry won't see the $5 a gallon like on the other side of the state in chicago but never know at jumps like this

i have never, nor will i ever, buy a car because of it getting good gas mileage. i buy/build what i like, and if that includes sitting behind a bunch of cubic inches, so be it.
i bought my 4cyl 91 s-10 with full intentions of replacing it with a sbc once i blew it up. apparently, i don't drive hard enough anymore because it hasn't happened yet. that poor thing wouldn't have lasted a month when i was in my teens/early 20's. my dad didn't give me the nick name Capt. Car Killer for nothing.

That is all well and good, but I don't think that would pull my 15,000lb fifth wheel very well. Some of us need trucks out of necessity.

In Europe, unlike the USA you can get on a train 10 feet from your house and get off the train 20 feet from your job. ON the way home, you can get off the train 12 feet from the store.
Thats what I have been told..

This is the exact reason i dont understand the stupid "gas saver" craze. Ill stick with either a diesel or a v10. Do they drink gas, well one does! But guess what, your 4cyl econo-box wont pull the horse trailer, wont pull the stock car and it sure wont pull the boat. I think we should start the "uban cowboy clean up" craze. We go through the cities and take away anyones truck that doesnt tow something at least once a month and give them econo-boxes. Thats how you get gas to go down. Get rid of the soccer moms driving escalades, take away Bobby's F-750 that drives up and down 4th street and has yet to ever use the gooseneck in the box. Make little cars "cool" again. If the morons in the cities would pull their heads out and drive something sensible our gas usage would go down. They dont need a smart car, but a fullsize truck is a little much when you live in a suburb that gets its snow plowed, and all your "building materials" are dropped off on your front porch. Everyone thinks a big truck is cool, and that the bigger your suv the more important/rich you are. Whatever happened to people buying BMWs when they got rich?
*breath* /Rant lol, but seriously...

Yes, that’s trough if you liv in the city, but every do not live in the city! Two of my colleague’s liv outside the city, one of them have 50 miles one-way and the other have about 25 miles one-way! Myself, I have 50 feet to the buss!
Du to hi gas prices in Europe, car manufactures has developed hi performance and fuel efficient motors. With rising fuel prices US, your manufactures has to do the same! There is a reused why American made cars does not sell that god outside US.
