People seem to want an arm and a leg for the silver shocks when I do actually find them. So I'm going with a set of Hammad Ghuman HPI RS4 VLT clear shocks with MIP gold shafts.

Does anyone have the specs on the Yokomo Twin Cam motor I have?

There's a NIP one currently on ebay, but the header card shows nothing about the motor.

Finally added some original Yokomo shocks, body posts and new steering parts thanks to Justjoe. Also added some Orion V-Max 2000 cells.

After searching for a few years, I finally located new Parma Eagle Talon bodies form an online hobby shop in Denmark. Shipping was more than the bodies, but I ordered two to make it worth the cost.

Stunning!! I love how this build has been evolving - some real nice 'trick' upgrades on this - I used to run those plastic Matrix pinions - I wonder how they'd stand up with today's modern brushless motors, I was suprised to be honest they withstood the low wind motors we ran back then!

Its great to see a touring car being given some attention 8)

I recently ran one of those pinions on my runner RC10 with an 18T brushless, 13T brushed and 27T brushed motor and it still looks like new. I'm curious to know how the spurs would hold up to brushless power.

Project status update? Has she run yet? I have a YR-4M2 PRO COMP that I have been having a blast running lately. Planning a rally replica for it eventually - would really like to do the 959 Paris Dakar car from 1986. If anybody has a line on some rally type ties that would fit shoot me a pm....

Tamiya Rally Block tires would do :)

don't run an open-belted car as rallye-car... ;)

what's the "pro-comp" version? Don't know it :?:

Thanks for the heads up on the tamyia rally tires - will look into those.

Not sure I understand your comment about th open belt not being a good rally car option and I am perhaps confused since my yz10 is an open belt car that runs in dirt. Can you educate me here a little?

The pro comp- Per the yokomo USA touring car catalog that came with my car it was $198.00 option kit for the yr-4m2. I would snap a pic but I apparently have not graduated to picture posting status since my attachment button is disabled. Part number is : yr-4m2 pro-conversion

I took a 1/16 slash and mounted a Blue Groove repro Cellica gr. B on it.
You could do the same with the 959, I know it´s only 1:12 but the Slash makes it move quite fast.

yz10 has a tub and wheels outside the body... your m4 typically doesn't have an undertray, plus the the tires are inside the body and they send tons of stuff in! belt-driven rally cars had tubs and sometime "inner" bodies (think hpi rs4 rally) :)

ha - yr4m2 pro-conversion kit, I think the idea was a conversion to M2 specs from M version :)

Okay that makes sense about the tires on the outside of the body and the tray under the yz10. I ditched the tray on mine since we were running on a very compact track back then with very little loose dirt.

So is there a yokomo that is shaft driven that could be used for rally? That hpi rs4 looks a lot like a yoke to me.

That makes sense about the conversion kit since a lot of the parts have identical descriptions as described in the parts list from the m2.

Any chance you can direct me to a good source for yz10 parts? I found the front belt pully i needed but would like to source a couple other items that i am not finding on eBay.

Can you post a picture? Is it 1/12 scale or 1/16? I
