IRS makes some blue anodized outdrives......or at least they used to be blue.

A few updates. This build really was not as straightforward as I thought it would be. The main culprit was the rear trans plate which would not line up with the Thunder Tiger aluminum suspension arm mounts. I sent it to Jake (bigjeepz) who helped me out with a little milling job off the sides of the motor plate to get everything to work. There's quite a bit of toe-in as a result but I'm still happy with the result.

I also would really like Associated to tell me why their factory team blue screw kits provide only random screws that comprise maybe a third of what you need for the car. The kits seem like a scam because even with TWO B3 FT blue screw kits I couldn't come close to using all blue hardware throughout this build.

Finally, I need to figure out some spacers for the Lohas wheels up front and one of the rear wheels has all kinds of slop between it and the drive adapter.

Adam the car turned out nice.

I wouldn't think there was much of a difference in the TT stuff vs the AE. I thought they were the same car.

The car turned out really nice. I agree with Miguel, get some shoes on that thing. You are acting like you live in AL, :D

I was bummed when I got my kit back in the day and it looked like it was missing a bunch. I was told by Associated that they want you to only use the aluminium screws on low stress sections. So that is why there are so few screws!

Oh BTW that motor is a Reedy MVP! I may have an extra!

BUMPING this old thread. Unfortunately the pictures are all gone. I would love to see these pictures if the OP feels like sorting out the links. It's a long shot, but it sounds like a lot of great B3 option parts are in those photos.

Thanks!
