I didn't see why I should go up to a much more expensive 3 channel transmitter and now I know that I don't have to. 5 car memory is plenty for me and the price is good. Thanks for the help guys. Now it's time to go figure out brushless motors, speed controls, lipos, and charge rates! What happened to the good old days where you just bought an ESC, a battery, and a motor and just installed them?
Yeah, the good old days when you had to have a seperate battery pack for practice, each heat race and the main because you weren't supposed to use them more than once a day and motors where you had to worry about breaking in correctly, soldering capacitors on and hoping that the brushes didn't bounce on the commutator or get hung up and not make contact at all...
That being said, I really do miss those days... Some of the best times in my life!

I sometimes removed the hot battery from the car after a heat and immediately threw it back on the 15 minute fast charger to get it ready for the next race! Sometimes it was so hot you couldn't even hold it. I've had the shrink wrap start to melt before.

Motor capacitors? We don't need no stinking capacitors! It's just a little glitch.

Motor break in? What's that? We called that running the car as fast as you could. I remember I bought some Trinity advanced timing brushes for my motor and installed them right before a race. I installed them upside down so instead of advancing the timing by 6 degrees, I retarded it by 6! I think I still got 3rd in the main that night.

Right? I have the bones of a JRX2 at home full of wood screws that can attest to that!
