Might be a great member but I don't mess around with that customs stuff.

Oh I didn't realize the auction stated US shipping only. He should have asked first if you would ship it to a third party if he won and that he was a member here. Maybe he figured you'd be cool with it since you're both active members. If I was in this situation I would send it to the US address for him but its entirely up to you.

Hassle??

There's nothing really that hard about shipping abroad. Infact I think there is more to be won here than just the extra dollars by letting the extra international buyers increase your buyer base.
What about earning yourself some good cred with like mind members of this forum?
95% of what I sell goes abroad and yes it takes a little longer at the post office but as they say- 'what goes around, comes around'.
Building a good repour with people here will go in your favour more times than not. Personaly I see the bigger picture and while there are times when I lose out on my time and even money I earn soo much more with my friends here who are more than happy to help me out with some of those hard to find items when I go looking.
I guess it all just depends on what you want to get back from this hobby/community.

I'm guessing that the amount that it sold for was also a part of it. You had it up on ebay for a week and it didnt even reach $50 bucks, and then you turn around and list it for $80. I'm sure theres a few people on here in the US that you could ship it to who in turn would ship it to him.

Hi there
Thanks for (finally) answering. In the ebay PM I sent you the morning after the auction closed, I mentionned I'm lonestar from rc10talk, I live in switzerland where it'd be great if you could make an exception and ship to direct, but
I also have a shipping addy in the US so either way would be fine - this qualifies as "US shipping" i'd say
I'll just summarize the facts and timeline:
- creation of a "yard sale" thread here to expose your bargain find
- then car gets spotted from rc10talk for sale on ebay a couple of days after. You could have sold it to your rc10talk friends here instead

- then auction closes and car sells on ebay for $46
- then car gets spotted for sale again on rctech a few hours later for a chunkier $80. Again, you forgot to put it for sale on rc10talk
I think I'll let the forum members draw their own conclusions...
I'm done with this right after I've posted negative feedback where appropriate... life is all about Karma anyway, we all pay our bills at some point
Thanks all for the support,
Regards,
Paul

Actually, let's see if we can pick up the pieces together as adults. I just declined the sale cancellation request you sent me through ebay, so you can let me know here how you'd like us to proceed. Shipment to the US of course.
Cheers,
Paul

Hello, I'm happy doing business with rc enthusiasts from all over the world. I've sent and received parts from all over e.g. Australia, Switzerland, Hong Kong, USA etc. Like Jason said, if you put in the effort you get rewarded when others help you out in turn with parts and give you a good reputation.
Just my two cents (or pennies in the UK

)

roadrashracing, I've sent you a couple of PM's and ebay messages (and actually even an rctech message) that'd be great if you could answer at least one of them - sending you my email via PM
Hoping this is just a misunderstanding
Cheers
Paul
Oh so it was YOU I was bidding against! Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding and you get what you won.
Didn't realize I was bidding against you either
We'll see what happens if the seller replies...
we are always bidding against you paul

your everywhere
Paul

All
happy to report that the Club10 Storm made it to me safely, and looks very nice. Thanks to the seller for walking the talk and to my friendly forwarder for his kind and efficient help
