The next four pictures give a preview to the chassis. I am trying to give the car a more traditional vintage look using only black colored parts. Overall, I am trying to give the car a more consistent color scheme. In previous pictures you can see my TCP is a mix of black, white, red, blue, silver and gold. I think it will look cool in all black I would like to purchase Lunsford turnbuckles as well. Below is a comparison of stock TCP turnbuckles compared to the Lunsford xxx-4 set. I think the xxx-4 set should work because they are so close in mm lengths.

TCP Stock Turnbuckles Length -----Lunsford xxx-4 Set
Front camber-40mm -------------- 1 ½ = 38.1mm
Front toe-44mm ------------------- 1 7/8 = 47.625mm
Rear camber-36mm ---------------- 1 ½ = 38.1mm

its all about the color coordination.

Here are some pictures of the shock tower mounted on the front bulkhead. Black motor plate mounted to transmission. Black CVD drive axles.

Have you tried to fit the powder coated rear axles in the outdrives yet?

No, I have not tried to fit them in the outdrives yet. I am actually looking for some new outdrives that may work. The stock ones that came with the kit are very worn out and the screw holes are stripped.

I was able to use mip part #8115. They work perfect

I am waiting to see the body. I agree on the all black look being nicer, one thing I don't like about Traxxas current crop of vehicles is the addition of cheap looking grey plastic for certain parts.

good thing about them is they dye easily

I am still waiting for a few parts to arrive. I am also in the process of wet sanding the chassis and re-clear coating it.

Yep. Still lurking there since I get my updates to the vintage nitro and vintage electric sections whenever something gets a reply. Would like to spend more time on my stuff but work dictates my life for the time being playing catchup with dr. bills and such...doesn't keep me from catching an update or 2 though .

A few pictures of how the TCP looks in all black. I am not very happy with how the lower chassis came out so Fibre-Lyte parts will be ordered soon.

I agree, you should send me the entire car and start over, use the new Fibre-Lyte chassis you're gonna order as a base

Maybe not the entire car...but when my project is complete I will have a few parts I will be selling including the lower chassis and upper chassis. I will let you know when they are for sale
