Ok guys, for anyone interested here is an update..... a raw, not well thought out update, but an update nonetheless.
After a few magic soda's last night I saw three bottles of Faskolor sitting on my kitchen table and my Masami YZ10 in the background.... as this was enough motivation to make a move I ripped out my girls soy-sauce dishes and starting mixing paint. I basically mixed Parma Fasgreen #40005 and Faspearl Silver #40050 together and stirred it with a toothpic then smeared it on a piece of papertowel. Check out the pic.... not too bad of a match.
I didn't mix the paint well at all and I think the ratio was about 50-50. I'll do it with stronger data and post results soon but my plans are to use a little less silver and mix much much better for the next testing.

Doesn't Parma already have an out-of-the-bottle Faspearl Green that is virtually the same color?

Looks a bit too pearl and a tad too blue IMO Jeff-

you should definitely put some sample on a non-porous surface, like a piece of scrap lexan or something.
I'd go with less pearl, and maybe a touch of black in there to take some of the brightness out. Unfortunately, we can't give much accurate advice because pics and computer displays always ruin the true color.

Excellent, all good tips. Remember, I was drunk and mixing paint with a toothpic

but I like all of your ideas and I will try them on the next test. I will also use accurate measurements so I know what the exact ratio is. I'll post more pics once I get closer to hear everyone's thoughts.
BTW, correct me if I'm wrong but display settings shouldn't make a difference because we're only comparing the color to the bulkhead cap in the same image so any color distortions should show up in both. But then again I can see that it may be difficult to know what colors to add if the display is off.

Empty clear plastic 2-litre pop bottles cut in half are great for spray-testing colors.

I've just stumbled upon this post via a Google search.
So has anyone compared the Parma Fasgreen #40005 and Faspearl Silver #40050 mix vs. Faspearl green? What's the best paint to match vintage Masami green?

Okay, thanks Peakey.
On the website, they list racing green, lime, neon, metallic, and spearmint. I think metallic looks the closest -- although it looks a little brighter but maybe it's due to different lighting. I reckon I'll order a can and try it out. thanks again....
