I'm leaning towards an old school paint scheme, but it's not finale yet
I could make two bodies
A modern Traxxas sponsored and
an old school, perhaps using some of the Tamiya Sand Scorcher and Rough Rider decals

I do think that the Jconcepts J82 front wheels & tyres will look allot better
Do you know of any other 2,2" tyres that are 110mm high with a realistic thread ?

*******************************************************************

These (rock crawler offsets) 2.2" RPM Revovlers & Proline Dirt Hawgs come in at a little under 90mm...but they are very scale looking...the lug pattern is near perfect match for the classic VW/Buggy pattern used in most VW based off roaders.. To narrow the fronts, you will have to remove the outer tire bead mounting area..plus they will work w/any 12mm hub.:D

So far, your project looks great!

I have a set of the 2,2 street tyres and they are too tiny

I did find a tyre on RC4WD
http://store.rc4wd.com/Dune-XT-22-Off-Road-Tires_p_719.html

So when they make that one with the tread pattern from this one ...That's the one I want
http://store.rc4wd.com/Two-Face-22-Offroad-Scale-Tires_p_1418.html

They do have 2,2 sand paddle and rib front tyres in the correct size

The front tyre resembles the J82

Got a bit done on the rear cage
It needs a few more cross tubes before I'm satisfied

I have 3 power options
1: 2350kv max 4s
2: 3000kv max 4s but runs best on 2s -3s
3: 35T on 7,2v ..mostly for trail riding and when my daughter's driving

However

The problem is She wants to go FAST ..And She's almost 6 Years old ..So better late than never
She LOVES to drive my BL Hyper 7 WOT

Oh and the rolling chassis weighs 1500g without the rollcage
and the rollcage weighs 630g

Maybe you can use the RC10GT RPM rear arms to make it wider in the back?
I can measure them up if you want

Thanks ED
I had the stock Rustler arms at first and they are almost 12mm wider than the Slash arms,
that's 1" total and I didn't like how wide it was.
The Slash arms come with 3 degree and the Rustler arms are zero

The front is 5mm wider total, thanks to the Losi inline hub

I'm thinking about making a custom set of 2,2" wheels and hub,
so I can use the RC4WD Dune X/T 2.2 Off-Road Tires

Painted the cage

Oh and just for laughs
Here's my SRB with Bandit wheels, I'm thinking ..with 2.2" switch tyres in the back and either narrowed switch or J82 front tyres
it will look ever closer to the real thing, I'll make my own one-off wheels if I can't get the Bandit wheels to work
Front is 10,5" wide
Rear is 11,2" wide

It's 11,5" wide with 1/8th buggy wheels
The bulkhead is from my SRT and milled out to clear the gearbox instead of making a new bulkhead

The arrma raider's wheels and tires are now available through towerhobbies. Check them out: might be something you like for this project
