Well I guess it's worth a try.

Commin g back to my T2 question. Is that chassis the same width as the b3 b3? I don't own any of these buggies.

I picked this Losi XX body at the lhs for $6. The body rides high due to the receiver's placement on the shock tower. I hacked the tail end as it was a pain to fit around the Parma wing mounts. I could have chewed the tail off in the 2-3 minutes that it took to mount the body after cutting.

I just read the article on the original prototype RC10 on the scans archive thread. The one who posted the article says that the body used was a Rough Rider shell. If this is so, (It seems that the proportions of the prototype remained for the production cars.) then the repro Rough Rider bodies of Kamtec might fit as an alternative body. Hey, you'd then have the same first shell used on an RC10! :D

(Borrowed the pictures.)

Thats an interesting (and period) solution. Not for the puists, but it's kinda trick in a way. It would look real good on my Tricked out Team Car that desperately needs a better body.

Plus they are still available new in the UK...

Thanks Tom!

As it sits, the top of the tub rides along the bottom of the red tape, hence the tape. With a shorter rear tower, you could lower the body slightly but it will be limited and flared out by the chassis. I might even add a lexan skirt to make the flare more pronounced. Well, at least it keeps some dirt out.

The body would fit real sweet on a graphite or cut-down chassis. Somebody send me one and I'll post a pic ;)
