Now I might totally wrong but 05 might mean 0.5 horsepower. You will get average 0.5 horsepower from this size (540-size) electric motor for industrial use.

heh, maybe .05 HP

no way a stock 7.2v (6v rated) 27 turn motor from 15 - 20 years ago will get anything close to 1/2 hp

a 15 - 21 size nitro motor from back then was lucky to hit .75hp

your typical 540SH barely cranks out 70W... they should be called class 01 then :mrgreen:

Very nice! I've only got a few Kyosho motors and they are lovely bits of kit. My favourite is the Gold High Torque motor with the machined aluminium end bell, shame it's not complete as I don't have the armature.

Yahoo Japan always has such nice stuff on it. Shame it's not easy to use if you live in the UK :-(
