Not much of a story after that one, but here goes. Back in 1988 I was racing a Javelin in 4WD open. The track was a small dirt tri-oval with one dog leg and one jump. Somehow in the heat race I fried my Novak T4 (was sent out and repaired-still works to this day!) Anyway, I was running for points and couldn't afford to miss the main. Luckily for me my buddy was going to marshall the main so we came up with the plan to leave the body loose and when the main started plug the battery directly to the motor. Yeah, pretty smart. No steering! The Javelin went like a bat out of hell, flew like one too-straight off turn one-hit the side of the gameroom about four feet up and came to rest twitching at the race directors feet. Can you spell DQ?

So it did what all non-R/C javelins are best at?

My high school had a RC club. I brought my Falcon to mess around with. It was equipped with the stock mechanical speedo.

At lunch time I was driving around in the hall way and decided to show my buddies what it could really do so I went to the longest hall way about 70-80 feet and let her rip.

It accelerated quickly and shot down the hall like a rocket. 15...20...25mph. OOPS! FORGOT TO EXTEND MY ANTENNA.

WHAM!!!!! Direct hit into the steel toe kick on the door at the end of the hall way. The ominous crack traveled down through the school.

I picked the car up to find the front end hanging only by the steering linkage.
