Dude, what a find. Sweet. You gonna give us some details on the graphite build, you know, to build the anticipation?

I promise I'll do it, at least for your fragile heart

There are two lots on the pic, one with the "golden opportunity" and one with the graphite and the pan car

Yup, the body itself is a pure work of art, I'll post some detailed pics of it later on today. I just can't bring myself to cut it. It's soooo nice :!:

I finally got my hands on the last parts I was after to complete the resto of this awesome gold tub, but the front nickle plated Pro-line half rims, still looking for those NIP or new as mine are pretty smashed. My goal is to mimick the car that was on the PACTRA shelves back then, it's also the paint scheme that appears in the original manual.

mmmmmh white NIP parts that want to be opened and used

I have just completely rebuilt the 6-gear with spanking new parts. What a complicated build guys, it took me almost 2 hours to build it right  compared to less than an hour to build a Stealth! The only thing I could not replace is the spur gear, I have a white NIP one, but 48 pitch, and that could have generate some problems with the "period" police, so I simply cleaned the used one the best I could with WD40 and some dishwash soap...

Ain't that sweet?

Honestly, unless you're going for 100% box stock condition, everyone ditched the 32p gears right off the bat in favor of 48p gears. You would certainly be very period correct with that modification. There were MANY parts that came in the box that most racers ditched right off the bat (sway bars, spur gear, resistor speed control, stock wing, etc).

Wow! That looks really clean. Excellent work! Yeah, using new white parts is so liberating.

I'll have to consider that! Thanks for the tip Doug 8)

I'm glad to see a nice clean 54t 32p spur gear. It's one of the most difficult parts to find in good shape. As Doug said, most were ditched for 48p...
