nice, i'm still afraid to go collective. my buddy got the nano, it's sick how fast that little heli is and how much wind it can fly in.

After my wife watched the mCPX spool up, she said maybe Santa should not have bought that.

already looking at upgrades for the swashplate. I can never leave well enough alone.

This brought back a lot of memories. I remember those training sticks with the balls skating across the H.S parking lot trying to learn how to hover. There is a feel you need to get like riding a bicycle once you got it you wondering what took you so long! Keep the tail pointed towards you, don't learn with it facing you or all are control backwards until you get better. Also try to hover and get all the trims close as possible. Flight Simulators will help bigtime. I remember the time me and brother both bought the Concept 30's and spent hours of skating across the ground trying to learn how to hover, when back to Don and said we can't do it, too damn hard, he quickly fired up my chopper in front of his hobby store with the sticks still attached adjusted the trims and hovering facing us and said to me "look no hands" and it was just sitting there hovering by itself I just shook my head. Also the bigger the chopper the easier it is too fly more stable but cost more.

After we finally got the touch we became known as hover kings. Took some balls before we when forward flight wasn't as bad. Today with your real looking fly simulators should be a piece of cake, we had Skylark back then.

I purchased the Phoenix Simulator which really helped. My 450 heli still has the training gear, but the mCPX no longer does. Just need to upgrade my radio to allow more customization with the expo and endpoints.

Don't want to threadjack Sonic, but I thought you might like this video from about a year ago. A local shop here has a guy who is top notch with helis and planes. This one was unique, but the ending was not good! Pavement was not exactly level...
