Not wanting to sound like a goober but B4 wheels with captured bearings are easier to find than 12mm hex buggy wheels if buying used.

its more of a performance issue
and what the major rc players are moving towards
its not a issue of avalibility or cost
i will most likely have a set up for both Hex adapter and captured due to the fact you cant run a inline steering block with a hex adapter
also i would say at least 80% of the buggys that race at my home track run adapters
and when JBRL came to town i would say the percentage was probably even more
ya they might not have the style such as spoke rims and such (that i have found) which is a negative in the 12mm
but as i said before this will be a racer so function is going to win over style

well its been awhile, I have been waiting on parts
well some have arrived and here is what i have gotten done
front end hex conversion
i did have a problem with the jeepz arms (see pics) but was a easy fix
also showed a lil trick that i do to smooth out some aging hinge pins
with a dremel
800 grit sand paper
as u can see in the one pic with the arrow that spot to the left was un buffed
area
really makes for a smooth hinge pin
well if it helps one person

Farmer, I see in your first picture of the arm hitting, those arent the arm mounts you used (look like 1.5 or 0 degree mounts), but on the chassis is 3 degree mounts (now I need to check my Jeepz arms, but I dont think they hit).

ya i was just useing those as a mock up, but even the 3degs on the chassis they hit

I just checked mine, I didnt round the corners & do have slight interferrence, but my rear droop is more than my stock armed buggy.

mite be worth it to round them over to get rid of the bind
ill tell you what the mip tranny thats going in there
is a PAIN IN THE A$$ UGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
but after a beer and the dremel its starting to take shape
kinda like trying to shoe horn a 454 into a civic

looking good farmer, let me know how you like that front 12mm set up. I've been eyeballing it for quite a while, but havent pulled the trigger quite yet.

i think i mite need to find some longer bones for the b4 cvds
with the CWs hubs on the lower adjustment hole
at full extension of the arms (droop) the bones want to slip the outdrives and also they rub the big center brace of the jeepz arms
shock limiters would work but the amount of droop is almost none
i like droop
on the top holes of the CWs hubs its ok but i want to be able to use the bottom holes
lower Rear end cg
also there is a lil bind in the hex on the rear when u tighten the rear nut
i think its from the hex adapter has a little lip on it after capturing the drive pin
so when i tighten the nut up it pushes the adapter into the beaing a lil
ill make it work

I am using the Losi rear carriers, but in the lower hole (which raises the CVD away from the arm). Lets me have the droop you see above. Do you have crush sleeves in the CW carriers? That may solve the binding issue.

didnt know they where needed,,,do to the bearings being captured in the hub
they dont push all the way through?

the crush sleeves let you tighten the nut fully without it binding up the bearings. it spaces the inner races

just a lil bump on the build waiting on parts again
anyone have a set of t3/4 threaded shocks they want to part with!
