Mini update!
I've been cleaning/rebuilding two gear differentials, a layshaft with parts and a counter gear. Found a N.I.B LWB belt (OTW-7) in my Optima pile. It seems that I've already started to upgrade this model (ball bearings). Just can't use bushings (mentally) so I save them for a future "stock option"

Yes, you can't do rebuild like that using the original bushes, even if it's sitting on the shelf.
Well done getting hold of new black shocks. I know they're not as sought after as golds, but very rare NIP.
Looking forward to more shiny pictures later j0pp3 (no pressure

)

Great pic! I'm restoring my brother-in-law's Turbo Optma Gold and been looking for a new rear diff...too bad you're not closer with that collection!

Baby steps...
This evening I got time to start the build. The parts I have used so far has been shown earlier in this thread so nothing new yet. Just put them together
My brand new shocks have also been put together and feels very smooth.

Wow, getting close eh?
This was my favorite Optima as a kid... the LWB just looked a tiny bit better. Or maybe it was the wheels that did it. Either way, nice progress here!

Yepp, really close now! This LWB is heavy machinery. Looks like a big toad in comparison to the slim SWB's.

You won't have to wait so log for the wheels but the body and decals are not ordered yet. I think you can handle it
