regarding whether to run it or not, it all depends how you want to run it... if it's about running in the open yard, then once cleaned up it will still look new build. If it's about running it in the dirt, a few seconds are enough to make it look "used".
The best of both worlds is to have two, really!
And welcome to the board

I think this will be the only way do this:) now if I can do it without a divorce

There are probably more women out there willing to marry you than there are these still new in box

I guess its alright in some peoples minds to try and swindle others out of their property by treating them like a tard
Looks good. Can't wait to see it get dirty

Gotta love lowball offers. I mess with people back sometimes if they throw me a really low number on something I'm selling. Got that body painted yet?

I don't get why everyone is so big about shelfers having to be perfect and un-run.
A car that you've experienced yourself and gotten some scars on has much more personality.
Ok, it will loose value: but that's the kind of value you should only care about if you plan to sell it.

I look at and display my shelters almost as art. I enjoy just looking at vintage cars just as much as enjoy running new cars. That being said I'm not going to display a scratched frame torn fabric painting on my wall. Same concept to me.

I'm not trying to pick up a fight here; just enjoying an intelligent discussion on a point different people have different opinions on.
Ok, now that's clear, let's continue: how would you like JJ Halseys original RC10 on your shelf? that is scratches , cracked shell, and maybe even some mud included.
Personally I prefer to see cars that were (re-)built and run by myself on my shelves. So I'm encouraging to run that turbo ultima and have some fun before putting it away.

A car such as a Halsey raced car is different as it was raced by a well known RC legend some would say. So yes I would display that. Just like a museum would display a raced by and beat up Dale Ernhart car. But they wouldn't display a beat up personaly owned NASCAR owned by a random guy.
I see what your saying but where I come from is there are many cars out there with scratches already on them to drive just like there are many people out there that would like to own a non driven car to put on the shelf.
