Last sunday i raced the buggy again on an indoor meeting.
There was a normal modern cars race but also a vintage race. So i ended up competing in both :)

Kinda confusing for the rest and lots of stress for the buggy because of all the double heats but again a really fun day.

The track was laid out in a Horse riding school (not sure if thats the right word) so the surface was loose soil and verry bumpy after a few qualifing heats. Because of the conditions of the track the XX really had an advantage i used the hydra drive instead of the normal slipper. The way the car handles over the rough terrain was really amazing to see. All the modern cars where struggeling to keep a straight line especially on the straight end.

and for the results i ended up qualifying 1st in the D finals and also finishing 1st in the finals.
end in the vintage class i made it to the A finals qualifyd 7th end ended up 5th overall.

ofcourse there where a lot of rc10's and i believe 3 Losi XX including me. It's really nice to beat a modern buggy with your vintage car but the emotions you get when running between rc10's and going head to head with them was even more saticfying. :D I believe an rc10 won the A finals and an xx came second but still :D

Also nice to say a Vintage buggy had the fastest lap of the day beat that modern runners :D

Here are some pics Taken that day.. enjoy

Excellent stuff - sounds like you're having fun running your Double X!

I have raced on a track built in horse riding arenas a few times in the past, the loose surface would give any rear motored car a distinct advantage I'm sure

Thanks for sharing your pics & your account of your experiences racing the old Losi... keep them coming.

P.S; there looks to be quite a variety of vehicles in the vintage class!

I really enjoyed reading this thread. Great job with your first XX Runner ! It looks great and seems to be very completive too. Well done :D
