So I completely disassembled my FP-T3PB last night and searched for the PPM chip for hours. :( That thing is tight inside and tons of wires/boards/chips...uggggg.

FINALLY found some help with the 5 pins for the module connection, Pin 1 - PPM, Pin 2 - positive power, Pin 4 - negative ground. Was it really that easy? yep...took an hour to put the radio back together.

Pics when I get home tonight and clean up the install, I rushed it last night so I could test, tested perfect. Put the receiver into the Goldie and did a little run up/down the street, went almost as far as I could see with no issues :)

Great... encounter any servo Jitter? what servo are you using? analog or Digital? when i did mine, i was experiencing Servo jitter
at neutral but it was tolerable(Digital Servo).

Analog, Airtronics 94258, ain't no school like the old school (servo)...I only have one digital servo, a Savox, I can try that one if need be (been thinking of dropping it into the Goldie anyways). But I have driven the car as far as I can see, twice as far as I feel comfortable with my Spektrum stuff, no issues. I cannot wait to hit the track with the old radio in the Goldie :)

ah,..... thats why, anyway if its working why change it. but if ever you put it in, let us know if it shows the jitter issue. mine was also a savox.after i drop an analog Servo it all went away.. hahaha..

jun, you did the Corona DIY kit didnt you? or was it the FrSky one? I have heard the Corona has the jitters, especially their first system (V1).

i didnt have a diode on mine...I have the newest one out, where you can hook up the telemetry to it as well.

So would this work with the Magnum Jr. the same way? On my old Magnum, I don't see how I could physically install anything into it like you guys have.

to my understanding, as long as you can locate the PPM signal, positive and ground, this will work on any radio.

The telemetry system solved the servo jitter problem.mine is before they launched the telemetry.

it's inside the radio.
You're looking for the "CD8081" signal IC, on the main board of the transmitter... Yes it will say "CD8081" on it!

When you find the signal IC "CD8081" the PPM signal is on pin #11.

I will post pictures soon... sorry for the delay.

I dunno if the FM version is like the PCM version, but there were 4 different boards inside

The pin out set up for the modules has the PPM signal as well, #1 pin, right side with the pins nearest you.

Love it! Thanks for the info fellas. Had no idea that this was even a Radio option. May try and tackle one of these in the future.
