Thanks Mdutcher. I'm not sure what electronics I am going to use. I will probably just digg through my stuff and see what "speaks"to me. This is just going to be an "around the house" runner for now. It might eventually see some track time, but probably not anytime soon.

Finally got this one up and running. been having fun running it around the yard at home and at work when its slow, like today. We have a little berm that runs across the property behind the shop that makes a cool little jump. I ram two batteries through it today just hitting that jump over and over. Good times. for electronics I went with a Novak NER-2X receiver, a Novak 410MXc Speedo, and a Futaba FP-S131SH steering servo. For the motor I went with Trinity Chameleon Pro II 19 turn. I have hotter, more vintage motors, but I went with this one for now just because it is the freshest motor I have and I just wanted to get this running, but eventually I will swap it out for a more vintage and faster motor. I bit the bullet and notched my battery cup so I can run stick packs. I forgot to put a battery strap in it before I brought it to work today, so the battery was kinda bouncing around a bit, but eh... Its a runner...lol. Having fun with it! :D 8)

Very cool indeed! I am glad that it find a good home.

I keep thinking that I would like to go back to a true vintage setup with a brushed system, but can't convince myself of that yet. I love the Lipos and brushless. But, the more and more that I see vintage setups with brushed setups, I am that much closer to pulling the trigger. Must resist.

I ended up selling this one to friend/co-worker (a new good home). If I had kept it I probably would have put a mid range brushless in it.

Update coming later. :D

So, I sold this car to my buddy at work. Somehow he managed to lose the Protech body. So, before consulting me, he went to the hobby shop and they sold him a Rustler body for it. So he bought it and trimmed it out and quickly realized that it wasn't going to fit, and even if it did was going to look pretty dumb with the buggy wheels. This is when he comes to me, tells me about the truck body, and asks me if I could get him another buggy body for it. I said sure I could, but would he rather have a truck? He said he would rather have a truck. So I said bring me the body and I'll see what I can do. I have a pretty good stash of monster truck conversion parts, so this what I did. I wasn't sure about the body at first, but I like the way it turned out, just wish it didn't have that terrible paint job. My buddy loves it.
