Thanks Mdutcher. I'm not sure what electronics I am going to use. I will probably just digg through my stuff and see what "speaks"to me. This is just going to be an "around the house" runner for now. It might eventually see some track time, but probably not anytime soon.

Very cool indeed! I am glad that it find a good home.
I keep thinking that I would like to go back to a true vintage setup with a brushed system, but can't convince myself of that yet. I love the Lipos and brushless. But, the more and more that I see vintage setups with brushed setups, I am that much closer to pulling the trigger. Must resist.

I ended up selling this one to friend/co-worker (a new good home). If I had kept it I probably would have put a mid range brushless in it.
Update coming later.

So, I sold this car to my buddy at work. Somehow he managed to lose the Protech body. So, before consulting me, he went to the hobby shop and they sold him a Rustler body for it.

So he bought it and trimmed it out and quickly realized that it wasn't going to fit, and even if it did was going to look pretty dumb with the buggy wheels. This is when he comes to me, tells me about the truck body, and asks me if I could get him another buggy body for it. I said sure I could, but would he rather have a truck? He said he would rather have a truck. So I said bring me the body and I'll see what I can do. I have a pretty good stash of monster truck conversion parts, so this what I did. I wasn't sure about the body at first, but I like the way it turned out, just wish it didn't have that terrible paint job. My buddy loves it.
