So basically it's a win/win??

I have collected a few parts since the last photos to help make my 7001 more authentic.
Parts are:
-correct off-line B-stamped chassis (that was a biggie)
-set of front A arms (they are the thicker variety but they have one shock mount apposed to my dual mounts)
-correct 48P x 87T spur gear
-set of four mid gen shock bushings (two new, two lightly used)
-correct first gen stealth tranny brace
-correct front narrow wheel screws (until now I have had cut down ones)
All parts were acquired from the help of very friendly fellow members. My thanks go out to all who have helped.
Currently working on two other cars. When they are done I will put this one together and post the completed product. I just can't have three unassembled cars lying around the house at once. My wife would kill me.

I put the Incorrect header card for front a-arms, should be 7206 card

Looking great Marlo! Some like the stock stuff and some like the mods. Stock is much harder- especially when Associated was making so many running changes. It's good to have Encyclopedia Reggie around with his timeline knowledge although without him I doubt anyone would know it was wrong

hahaha! Keep up the great work!

My finished 7001. If you can believe it, over a year to get it to where it is now. Included in the photos below is the box, accessories and manuals/catalogues for the kit. Just one question, on the truck I have gold springs, would this kit have come with silver/green as well? Blues? Thanks for looking.

That's beautiful! I don't recall the trucks coming with extra springs like the buggies but if they did it would have been silvers.

Thanks. The only reason I ask is because my GT has silver, gold, and blue, all still in the sealed bag, but the GT is a later truck.

Is the NIB truck yours? It would be an awesome compliment to the built one.
There is a difference between "like new" and "new", you just can't beat new. Your truck definately being the latter of the two.

I have no plans to build the team, even if I did, I have no more room to display it. It survived 20+ years in the box, I just cant bring myself to building it. I do think about it from time to time
