Its not a 94, sides are wrong, 92 maybe? Did that year have the ESC scoop?

Hold on, Pedro could be right, the different body siding must have come in with the 95?
Its getting confusing to pin it down now as even the 94 boxart has a different shell than the kit contents i got all those years ago.

Mmm - this thread is going to force to dig out the original (non-scooped) shell that came with my 93' car & compare it to the Mr Lexan Pavidis one I sprayed up

That would be great Dan, its a subject that intrigued me for a long time, Yokomo had quite a number of different details on the squashed bug shell, as ive said, the glaring one for me is that side angle profile, its so very different on the later bodies, and i think begs to be reproduced.

So, are we saying that there was at least 3 versions of the classic Yokomo 'squashed bug' body shell, 91 works, 94 YZ10 and the YZ10 WCS95 Pavidis?

Absolutely Alex......maybe more when we get into the scoop and bulge differences. Ya know, its shameful but i never did notice that the '94 box, seems to have an earlier shell on it anyway...or was that just a case of them using a generic earlier photograph?

Oh, meant to say, i did look up your shell Alex, that is a '94 it seems, Pedro was spot on, yet the box depiction, shows no scoop? It does say it depicts a Proto car though...so maybe the shell was a stand in?
Later shells, had that differing body siding i keep harping on about.

Just checked, there is no scoop on the box art 94 YZ10 the front bulges are present.
From my collection.
The box's are 93 and WCS 95 respectively, however the 91/93/WCS93 shared the same box art as did the 94 YZ10 and WCS 95 YZ10

These few pictures are from when I sold a NIB 94 YZ-10 and the body is the same as the 95 Pavidis or ZD-104 with a large scoop on the side. The only body the catalog mentions is the ZD-104C but in the 94 YZ-10 assembly instructions on the last page where it shows the body cutting diagram it clearly show the body having the 4 bullet bumps and a short scoop just as Pedro's body shows. Very interesting.

Hmm so i could be wrong then about the number of variants?
So far i think i count four, but that could be some confusion with me picturing one of the TBG shells with later style sides and no screw bulges.

Here's a picture of that 4 bullet bump short scoop body that I just found at least I think so.

The works '93 had its own specific shell as well. It came with guides to cut out the front area for the additional torsion bars.

It did, those guides are present on both the 94 and Pavidis bodies I have.
