Hi guys.
A big sorry from my side too. Since we do not have a proper vintage forum in German language (not to speak of an RC10 related one) I think we have been glad to communicate in our motherlanguage for a second. Like Volker said he asked me about the camera I use and I told him that these pics are take with a Canon EOS D60 with a 28-80mm lens.
In regards of the castor blocks: I do not have a clue. They came with the car and I thought they are a standard Item on the Worlds car but I just had a look at the manual and they do not even mention them as a hop-up. Material and colour look to be the same as the normal AE white stuff ...
Cheers
Seb

I extended my lunchbreak a little bit and used the extra time to take care of the chassis. I got rid of all the double sided tape fragments and the dirt but the discoloured parts are till there. It looks very strange and I wonder if that was done by some kind of error during anodising.
Second pic shows some of the white parts. I left the chlorine bath and just used the stuff I mentioned earlier. They are still a little bit yellow-ish but for a runner that's ok I guess.
BTW: I wasn't able to verify the Castor Blocks yet ...
Cheers

the caster blocks look like losi but stronger, that 2nd mounting hole is throwing me off. perhaps they were a heavy duty aftermarket losi mabey rpm? i know i have seen them before but i cant remember where.

I did a little research on the internet but I still don't know where these Blocks may come from.
In the meantime I cleaned the differential and 'rebuild' the gearbox.

Hi I don't know what the problem with that pic is, maybe the motor plate isn't sitting correctly?
But a quick cleaning tip is, for all your white parts like the screw holes in the stealth case, the hinge pin holes, the hub carrier holes, etc. Soak a q-tip in thinners and then run it through the holes, this will remove all the black gunk and make them look a million times cleaner.

The problem is no felt between the plate and gearbox...

it looks like someone painted a 6 gear motor plate black. or, it's anodized black, and should be on one of my tq10's.

Damn...how'd I miss that? Good eye Jason.

I'm starting to slip in my old age...
Hard to tell in this pic...although maybe minicooper35 changed motor plates? Notice the screws in the trans are all even...

it could have a shorter screw with a nut between the case and the motor plate, maybe? i had to do that on my "da blue guy" build after modifing the b3 motor plate to attach to a 2.25 stealth.

But the 4-40 x 1" aluminum screw must've been cut down...I don't recall a 4-40 x 5/8" in aluminum...

I guess we'll have to wait for minicooper35 to wake up...
And that is a gnarly looking WC bulkhead...

Morning guys!
Jason is right.

After rebuilding the tranny I tried to put on a motorplate that I had in the bits & pieces box. After attaching it I noticed that a hole is missing for one of the Stealth tranny screws. Since one of the cars I acquired earlier this years seems to be a TQ10 I think I pull it off again.

Problem is that the one that came with the Worlds Car in in horrible condition. The pre-owner tried to seal the gabs between the plate and the gearcover with something that looked like epoxy resin or something like that. Plus he drilled a hole between the two existing to mount his strange 'add-on' heatsink or whatever that might have been (see pics on the first page).
Cheers
