That's brilliant and before my time.
I've put it up on the Knox thread on RCTECH
Thanks.
Track has changed a little since then, but not a whole lot.

The circuit we raced on back then was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed my time at Knox and even spent a few days on the Keilor track too. Good times, good times.
Any pics handy for the new layout?

I'll try and get some tonight.
A couple of years ago, that drivers stand got bunt to the ground
So no more wheelchair access unfortunately.
The configuration of the track is basically the same though. Some of the jumps have changed.
The old triple that was in front of the stand is now extended, and a bit of a canyon style jump, Great for mod cars, they can clear the triple, or stock cars jump the first section, power across the top and down the ramp.
We had the Knox cup a couple of weeks ago with 153 entries, new surface coming up in the next couple of months, so busy times ahead.
We are really trying to push the novice class at the moment to get more kids involved.
It's nice to see a full stand of young ones, being able to race against kids their own age and ability.

Hi Mick, yeah I agree on the young ones. We should all make more of an effort to include and get the young ones involved. My folks used to take me racing when I was in my early teens and it certainly was a big deal for me back then.
I remember when the stand was burnt down by some goose/s. It was a cool stand that the club was able to store stuff under and plenty of room for drivers.
I'm not sure of my situation towards the end of the year but if I were able I would like to be down there again for it. I know a few guys down that way that I'd very much like to hand with again.

We are all making a really big effort to keep them enjoying the sport, seems to be paying off.
I have never seen club days as busy. Its almost to a point where we will have to run two novice classes
We organised a kiddies/noobs and testing day last Sunday. Most had a great time until an ADULT though he would yell at some poor kid trying to help marshal. I guess you will get that everywhere but it is something we are really trying to stamp out.
I believe another member is trying to get a kids only event organised for later in the year too. Hobby shop backing and all.
There are still most of the same old faces around too, that you probably used to run with. Great bunch of blokes.
Hope to see you there.
Mick.

Ok so I found a couple of pics
It's a bit cold at the moment. Super softs required, or maybe ice spikes
