Thanks. Paid $200 shipped fully rtr and never used, I was happy with that. As an added bonus, the transmitter is on channel 82, same as my other gold pan and my vintage losi jrx2 and jrxt.

What color are you going to dye all those plain white parts? Don't forget to drill some random holes in the bottom of the chassis, and one on the side near the steering servo:)
Great Score, nice job cleaning it up - Definitely a keeper!

Think I'm going to dye each part a different color. Already have the drill bit in the cordless drill, is 1/2" too small?

Too funny!!! Half inch will make a good pilot hole. Then you can increase to 1 inch...

Shameless plug, not even done rebuilding, but I have offered this up as trade in a wanted ad for a JRX2. See the wanted forum for details. More build pics to come whenever I get time to get back out in the shop (likely Sunday).

So it's all done, back together. Have it built up as it would have been when it was new, resistor speed controller, futaba S128 servos it came with, no receiver but I might throw one in. Was going to sell this one off but it's just too pretty. I installed the speed control using the proper factory holes, and I moved the battery cups to their proper position. I am very happy with this one. Just ordered up a protech body and wing.
Here is the before shot (not too bad even when I got it).

They never sent those cars out with black battery cups, that was an add on as were the wing buttons and wire (b3 kit with pre-bent wire) and the 6816 large wing-
The Cadillac cars ran until 88-89, could be anywhere from 86-89 IMO- I've seen short arm cars later than that, but with a couple of different parts than yours has-

Thanks for the info Charlie.
The orig owner said that those black cups came with the car. Said he built it back when he got it and whatever was on the car was in the box. Perhaps his memory was a bit faded.... who knows.
Threw it up on ebay for $460 just to see what happens. 24 hour auction lol. If it sells for that, good for me. If not, I want to keep it anyway... lol... and I put my mind at ease that I 'tried' to sell it.
I recently listed the other gold pan above (took the lohas wheels off it and installed the perfect stockers) with a $1000 reserve just to see where it would end up, and it hit $460, which is where I came up with that number lol....

I just noticed it on Ebay, I was cruising around looking at random stuff when I saw it. It's so damn pretty.

I agree. Awesome find. Awesome rebuild. It looks really cool. It would be hard for me to sell it or let it go.
