WOW! That's close enough that no one is going to notice. Nicely done.

I trimmed and mounted one, the fit is perfect, and there were no issues at all. However, I did notice a fairly large imperfection in the Lexan. The best way I can describe it is a ridge that runs under the a pillar and roof, then across the number plates. Its on both sides, but worse on the right. Both of the bodies I have have it. At first I thought it was a defect in the process, but maybe it is in the mold. I don't recall seeing this in any original bodies. I already packed mine back into the kit box, I guess I will have to dig it back out and look closer.

I can confirm two minor differences in the mold. There are small dimples molded in, presumably for the st15 body posts. They're small and not very noticeable. The body line between the rear wheel wells and taillights is different. The original body line went straight back parallel top and bottom. About half way between the wheel well and taillight, the tower bodie's body line starts tapering. The top part stays straight, but the bottom tapers up and meets the top at the corner of the taillight. Looking at the original body, it looks slightly rough in that area, so I am guessing maybe the mold was repaired in that area.

As soon as it stops raining I will get outside and try to get some detailed pics.

Body on shots. I forgot to take any close ups of the different areas. You can see it in these pics if you zoom in.

These fit the later GT quite well, too, except the wider rear shock tower requires small oblong or square holes be cut in the body protrusions (or mount the shocks further inboard & cut the tower).

I will post pictures later.

OK, pictures on a GT with the later wide rear shock tower. Forgive my not being a picture smith like some here. Crappy photographer with a crappy camera.

The one I'm leaving clear for display:

And the one with a period type simple paint scheme that I'll be running:

The detailing isn't quite there, but it fits well (Dick Fitswell). I'll definitely be getting in line.

Another update. I checked the original bodies I have, and they do not have the bulge by the roof. The bulge is kind of a bummer, but it is not that noticeable, and I think it will be even Less so when painted. Also, there are some vacuum. Holes that are more noticeable than the original, but again, they are not that noticeable over-all. In my opinion I would say this is a 95% accurate reproduction.

The clear is my choice, and both look great, but nowhere as impressive as your back 40

I just got done mounting one of these on an RC10T. Required a little bit of dremelling, and a body post added to the trans brace, but it fits and looks pretty good. I'll post some pics tomorrow. 8)

Haha. I wish I had 40 acres. That's the neighbor's pasture across the road (5 acre), then the local beef farmer's lot behind that (about 2 sections; 1,300 acres).

I'm only on 7 acres. 'Nuff to build a nice RC track, though 8)
