I will put that to use, thanks so much. A good cleaning and re installing the original msc and such will go along way to to keeping it stock.

It came with a small container of parts, the msc, servo and some screws. I am missing some screws for some of the bottom chassis parts.

Should be great to clean up and see what it looks like. No RX/TX with it, no need for it.

Here is TBG body on my TA02Twith custom decals. I know it's not the Kingcab chassis but I think it looks good.

That looks great, nice work on the body.

What do you have installed for running gear?

No pics of his but my friend is going fast with his Monster Racer. He's swapped in a transmission/diff from a traxxas car - but recently picked up the stealth conversion from ebay. His has a sassy chassis and we 3d printed a custom front bulkhead so he could mount the battery up front for less wheelies. It's a neat truck for sure.

I love the King Cab! It was my first proper Tamiya kit.

The Kingcab body is akin to the Tamiya 959 - rare as hens teeth and they go for big bucks! They were blow molded and not vacuum formed to get the extra detail which made them really weak.

You did well to get the tires as again these don't come up that often, when looking around the forums for King Cab you will see that most of them have 3rd party tires and TBG bodies.

I think it would be great if Tamiya would re-re the Hi Lux racer (doubt they will re-re the King Cab due to thatt body), they could base a new diff on the Egress 2013. Wishful thinking I guess!
